The guy is good with Excel Software but I am not sure that I can agree with his hypothecation projections. A great deal of them are predicated on the China situation and the assumption that it will occur that was here is not a reliable model because the reaction to the virus in the USA has been an extreme proactive process whereby the Chinese outbreak was treated like a suppressed program until it couldn’t be suppressed or contained any longer.

Even if that is the case I have my doubts that China has reactive capabilities that compare to those of the USA. I don’t think China can cover the masses of population in their country in the same manner as this country can.

I think the technology and facilities in this country are better equipped as a whole than what China has country wide. Their rural areas are vast and underdeveloped whereas this country is better developed and with less rural and underdeveloped areas.

You have less hospital beds /1000 than China, those technologies is about equipment and number of equipments, your top or the line ventilator can only treat one patient at a time just like the Chinese. And vast rural areas are the safest it’s where people congregate that mass infection happens, hence canceling all events. I used to make light of it too, but it’s like @Iamtdg shooting monkeys, there will come a time when there’s just too many if we don’t keep isolated.

Then I guess you believe the Coronavirus is going to besiege the country and the death tolls are going to be astronomical even though all the measures are engaged to preempt it. And the net result will be worse than the previous deaths attributed the influenza viruses that have come and gone without all the shutdown panic involved. And by the way the reason the US has less hospitals beds is because we have a considerably less population.

I think it’s absurd to close down certain crowd activities and people still will go to grocery stores, movie theaters, shopping malls etc. What we are seeing is that the various heads of certain activities and political leaders are shutting down their venues or work places because they do not wish to be blamed or criticized for something or held responsible in the event of lawsuits.. Their actions may or may not have any effect on anything.
