He is gay and married to a Hispanic guy. He was convinced that Trump was going to deport his (3rd generation) American husband and end his marriage. When half the family called him in the nonsense, he just disappeared from all family communication. And he is (was) a very reasonable man with a very respectable professional career. I don't understand it either.

He redacted the parts of the memo so that it wouldn't show the public that the texts weren't referring to a meeting with Ukranian President Zelenski but a completely different person with a Z last name.

Ok, so let's try to put the firebrands down for a second on Schiff -- not to excuse his blatant wrondoing, but regarding what is practical and realistic. He probably cannot be arrested for treason. He probably can't be arrested for anything. He probably would need to be removed for Congress first.

But if I were Trump I would sue him for defamation. This is deliberate falsehood. Actual malice, easy to prove here.
