True. Parcells used to advocate that. Even if it's not effective running the ball makes a difference.

It's kind of obvious, even though it's counter-intuitive on the surface. If your run game has run into a wall it's usually because the other team is working hard to stop it. Abandon the run and they won't have to do that anymore, you'll see nickel defenses and all out pass rushes.

Man all these hires make me excited. Could this possibly be the the moment this team finally arises from the grave to the championship games? i know we still got Jerry but I’m hoping at some point the talent paired with a legit coaching staff will overtake the Jones’s BS at least for a couple of years before it wears off.

Kitna did but Nussmeier didn't? I don't mind losing Kitna but keeping Nussmeier and making him QB coach is honestly a little puzzling.
