What's sad is, Jerry has gotten behind a mic and said it was his fault. He's taken responsibility far more than Garrett ever has.

Now granted, there aren't any actual repercussions to him admitting it. But still, Garrett won't even do that.

Pretty freaking childish. How hard is it to be man enough to get up behind a mike and say: "We had a plan and it didn't work. We made mistakes and we have to go in a different direction. I take responsibility for not acting faster to right the ship and not having the right answers when we needed them. We're bringing in some new people and we're making new plans to move forward and make improvements."
I understand your point but Garrett was Jones fair haired boy for several years and he also has ties with the Garrett family that goes back a while. Jones is to sentimental about some of his players and staff. Probably too much.

id Like to have some money on Zimmer @ 10/1.
Zimmer almost makes sense, but I don't think this is the kind of team where the lunchpail and hardhat blue collar coach guy can keep the team in touch with reality. I think you need a coach that everyone buys into on a different level, either because they are an Xs and Os genius or a charismatic, driven personality.

If a coach can't build an identity for the team then they default to the lazy, swaggering playboy Cowboys.

Roman then Rhule

Roman has a history of elevating QB play, incorporating modern analytics, and has 20+ years of hard NFL experience.

Rhule is the kind of tough, innovative, and hard-working coach this team needs, but he’s straight out of college and that bugs me.

Damn it! I'm on a string of night shifts and everyday I wake up at like 1-2pm thinking I will read a story that this is over and it keeps going on and one, FFS...

WGAS? Why would they know anything? Obviously Garrett himself doesn’t know, so why should some assistant?

Now if the source was Stephen Jones I’d definitely be concerned because that would lead me to think keeping Garrett was seriously under consideration.

"This is not my fault"

How would Werder know this?

not saying its not true but if what we are hearing is correct, then there are only 3 possible sources, I guess 4 if you add hearsay relayed from Garrett to his agent to Werder

Because he's had sources in the organization going back to Jimmy?

I wouldn't be surprised if Stephen himself told Werder.

I find it odd that people think solid reporters would just make up lies about this stuff.

Jerry Jones won’t wait for a slow news week to announce big changes.

He’ll want Dallas in the news Superbowl week when all kinds of media are furiously pushing football stories.

This attention hog just works that way, whether he is even consciously aware of it.

Yeah I don't think Werder would just make stuff up at all. There are some guys like Fisher who I thinks makes shit up for clicks and attention.
