This has gone beyond attention into ineptitude because of Jones' hard on for Garrett.

I would have more respect for total radio silence over this multiple meeting shit.

Today's lasted less than a half hour.

So what the fuck was it all about? Let's see how much we can make all these motherfuckers squirm?
I'd love to hear the meetings. Has to be super awkward. I think even Garrett knows it's done.

I’m thinking they are going to keep him on as head coach with a revamped staff outside of Kitna and maybe Boy wonder.

I think all this posturing is their way of trying to come off as really doing their homework and really putting in the work of trying to figure out who is out there and what kind of fit that person could be, and ultimately they’ll try to sell the fan base a load of bullshit about Jason being the RKG for the job and no real upgrades out there in their estimation. Just like the Brett Maher situation. Who could do better than Brett Maher?, oh, nobody, just some dude that went 10-10 or some shit coming off the couch.

I’m telling you guys, I think it’s a real possibility that Garrett is back, even on a 1-2 year “prove it deal”. Even though he just got done with a prove it year that proved nothing.

Yep. Garrett probably wore his best suit and brought his briefcase and went into "should be President" interview mode, and Jerry got all weak in the knees again.

This is Jones looking for attention. As always...
But if you were Garrett, would you put up with that? You don't let someone in the media know this is all a sham? You know you're out but you're okay being used as a pawn so Jerry can get more attention for a couple of days?

I guess if you were Garrett and had no pride, no backbone, and no nutsack, you might.

Below is a great video to help tide everyone over until the news regarding Garrett is finalized.

This is a clip of a team that knew how to play football at the highest level and is smashing the Atlanta Falcons with a cornerback named Deon Sanders. This team was blessed with a real coach unencumbered by a maniacal, insecure owner masquerading as a GM. They've been referred to as the "team of the 90's" AKA "the greatest team ever" AKA The Dallas Cowboys. Perhaps you'll recognize them:

If you dont have time to watch it all, at least skip to the 8:25 to enjoy a hilarious cameo by Keith Olbermann

Happy New Year!

I remember watching that game when I was in college a few months after I moved to Ft. Worth.

I miss Emmitt Smith.
He was my favorite player as a kid, but once I grew up and heard him try to form a sentence, I kinda got over idolizing him.

If it wasn’t for football, he surely woulda been hanging outside a 7-11 with a bottle of thunderbird begging for change.

He was a hell of a hard worker regardless of not being articulate. I think he had a drive to be successful at something regardless, career in the military, in a trade, whatever.

From Sturm:
I know this is growing in popularity, but I say it is roughly a 0% chance Garrett stays in a front office capacity. Coaches want to coach and he is a coach.

He's still my all time favorite player. I don't care that he wasn't good on TV. All I cared about was what he done while on the field. And he was one of, if not the best all around RB there ever was.

He'll always be the best for my money. Being the best is about reliability. Emmitt was never going to turn in negative yards in a postseason game like Barry Sanders did against Green Bay.

Yeah, he wasn't as fast as some. As flashy as some. Or as good of a receiver. But when you put it all together... rushing, receiving, blocking, durability, dependability, etc... He was the best.
