I assume the Eagles were playing the odds with Daks injury. The deep balls were pretty open. They were either dropped or off the mark.
They just aren't good in their secondary. They have a white guy named Gerry back there for Christ's sake. How do you not attack that?

I was conflicted watching this game after Rapoport came out earlier in the week and basically said that Garrett would keep his job if we made the NFCC. I obviously can't actively root for them to lose in a win and you're in game in Philly, but ultimately I'd rather just flush Garrett and completely end any chance that exists that we have to put up with this abortion any longer.

If I could choose between losing to the Skins next week or winning/Eagles losing and winning the division, I'd honestly choose losing to the Skins. We'd end up drafting somewhere around 12-14 and I wouldn't have to spend one more second watching this piece of shit Garrett continue to torpedo the careers of HOF players.

I must say, it's a shame that Jerry rigged the situation so that he doesn't have to technically fire Garrett so much as he's just not re-signing him. I want my pound of flesh and for this asshole, who has cost us literally a decade with his incompetence, to be publicly shamed with a firing.

I guess him sulking off after the Skins game will do but I wanted an active firing.

So...how does this season rank on the list of non-playoff season disappointments?

-2008. Blown out by St Louis Rams, OT loss to Cardinals and finish 1-3 in December to close out Texas Stadium with loss. 44-6 in do-or-die game.
- 2011-2013. Three years, relatively same group achieving the same shit. Inexplicable losses lead to a failed Week 17.

I’d say this season has them all beat. No major injuries and we lost to battered teams - Saints, Eagles - and inferior teams - Bears, Jets.

So close. Just one or two plays away from near Super Bowl(s).

This franchise is a joke.

At Christmas parties, Meeting new people and chatting about football isn’t fun, in fact it gets awkward and they leave the conversation, when it devolves into me just unleashing 15 minutes of just dumping, venting about everything — the stadium cash grab, the suffering of shitty drafts, the yesman coaches and utter dog-chasing-tail operations while pumping sunshine up your ass that’s just exploitation.

Watching other teams winning the inches with smart, adaptive chess play and situational football that takes years of practice and attention to detail. Yards of field position and first down conversions we almost arrogantly shrug off and shoo away like we can’t be bothered by that.

Yeah, we’ve got the cute slogans and can repeat the mantras, but that’s all secondary to being comfortable, stubborn and delusional.

opening the roof, is considered by this franchise as something worthy of hi-five each other and popping bottles open like they just executed some guerilla tactic.

In other words, they knew what we were running
Garrett must have sucked at hide-n-go-seek. He be that m’fer that hides behind the same tree every time.

‘Shucks. Found me again. I’ll just stand up straighter next time.”

This is what is so stunning. Down a measly 2 starters in week 16 in Williams (the weakest offensive lineman) and LVE. Literally all the offensive weapons available to us against a team held together with bailing wire and a practice squad receiving corps, and we score 9 points in a game for the division.

Just inexcusable lack of production.

Wait, now this fucker wants to start owning shit?
Yeah but notice after he says I have to own it, he then has to spend the next two sentences spreading the blame around to the other coaches and the players also. He's simply incapable of fully taking the blame like other coaches do.

Why? Because he's a self-protecting and self-preserving fucking weasel.

Barely. He still couldn't just come out and shoulder the blame. He still had to spread it around to the other coaches, all the players, and even staff members. Fuck him.
Yeah could you imagine a WR who drops a game winning catch coming out and saying everyone on the team needs to play better including himself? It's such a slimy answer. Just fucking shoulder the blame like a man.

In a vacuum this might be the worst given the roster but this season is much easier to take since we know it's going to rid of us of Garrett, which is honestly more important than a playoff spot and maybe winning a home game in any given year.

Getting rid of Garrett is more important than any individual season's performance given the fact that he has been an anchor around this franchise's neck for a decade. Jerry is obviously the root cause but if you keep everything else the same and swap out Garrett for even an average to above average HC like Ron Rivera over the last 10 years I guarantee you we'd have at least an NFCC appearance, if not a SB appearance or even win.

Exactly.

He precedes and follows the "I" part with the we because he has to emphasize that it's not all on him.

It is amazing that Belichick, the most successful HC in the history of the NFL, has shouldered the blame for losses and disappointing performances more in one season than this loser who hasn't accomplished shit has in his entire career.

In fact, I honestly cannot recall a single instance where he truly was self accountable, and it's another reason why the guy is just so damn easy to hate.

I dislike him so much that I would want him to fail if he where to be given a head coaching opportunity elsewhere.

Fuck that guy.

Perhaps we dodged a bullet by losing.

In all likelihood, it would have been Seattle coming to Dallas. They just lost LT Duane Brown and their top three backs (Chris Carson, Rashaad Penny and C.J. Prosise) for the season. That might have meant a winnable game and a possible job-saving appearance for the cockroach coach in the divisional round.

If yesterday's debacle truly was the tipping point of Garrett's time here in Dallas, I take joy in that. Knowing that it was the Eagles that took the fleeting victory and the right to get smashed in the first round of the playoffs, while dropping their draft slot. While finally, the Cowboys can ditch the albatross, and hopefully move towards long term improvement. Which will in effect, cause the Eagles more problems in the long run.

We still need to lose one more, seeing how the local media started excusing Garrett after just one win tells me Jerry will absolutely bring him back just making the playoffs
