what does this mean?
Meaning the Titans aren't settling for mediocrity. They have fired 4 coaches in the same span that Garrett has accrued the same record as them.

I'm wearing all black tonight, hoping to channel my inner Trubiski to go on a rout and hopefully put a stake in the gingers heart once and for all.

This is just repeating whats been said but I have a hard time getting excited over bringing in a new coach, as much as it may be needed. if there were an organizational change and a young Ron Wolf or Bobby Beathard got the GM job and....

I didn’t watch a lot of football when it came to Meyer. Obviously I know the guy won big at Florida and OSU. Remember him being arrogant and also remember he had health issues. Is he the guy? Or is it a better roll of the dice with Riley?
Elliott is intriguing if he could bring Venables with him.

I’d hope that Jerry is going to get the same message from Meyer or Riley. If he’s going to continue to run things status quo they aren’t interested in the job.

Meyer's health stuff I think has mostly been an excuse. He isn't old like Parcells was but he is a guy who seems to get stir crazy after awhile and just want out. Luckily it's usually after he has built a great team. And he has honestly built powerhouse teams everywhere he has gone. Even before Florida.

He isn't the brilliant offensive mind like Riley but he may be the better all around coach. Riley worries me that he would come in and this defense would still be awful. I feel like Meyer would have a better plan of getting them in shape while also building the offense.

Not really interested in Urban Meyer. Feel like that’s a disaster.

I have zero interest in seeing the cowboys "burn". If I had my choice, I'd rather see them win. I won't enjoy watching them lose. But I know that for us to have any chance at winning in the future, Garrett can not be a part of it. So I will endure losing now if it insures he is gone.
The problem is, really, neither can Jerry Jones.

He's incredibly competitive and has been hugely successful everywhere he has been.

He has health issues that are stress-induced, is 100% devoted to an offense where the QB run is featured, has no professional experience, and defaulted to hiring coordinators/position coaches that he knew and was comfortable with rather than based on merit or potential.

I'm not interested in chasing shiny coordinators. I want a head coach who will assemble a staff.

It also means changing coaches hasn’t helped them. They don’t have 3 divisional game appearances in that span.

That being said, IMO, this is probably the worst coaching job, in terms of a whole season, of Garrett’s entire career. Those 8-8 teams at the beginning were undertalented. The fact that he hasn’t shipped Maher out yet is just astounding and seems truly demonstrative of stubborn refusal to change that is hurting the team.

Eh, those administrator college coaches so rarely seem to work in the NFL. So much of their success is based on recruiting, delegation, and then just overpowering opponents. Which is like exactly what Garrett tries to do.

Meyer has always been known for his dynamic offense. Now in the past most would say it's not an NFL offense but now an awful lot of NFL offenses look similar. And what I like about Meyer is that he hasn't ignored the defense in the process.

No idea why you get an Administrator vibe from him. Although at this point even that would be a step up from Garrett.
