Haha, Henderson gets the call while bowling with a few family members. Lowest-key draft celebration ever.

Hill is very talented, let's not pretend like he isn't. His explosiveness/burst and movement is very impressive for his size. The problem is the character stuff plus the fact that it's very likely that this player is a narrow fit to Marinelli's preferences.

If you guaranteed me Marinelli would be here for the next 5 years then I might get on board with it but what happens when he leaves in a year or two?

Is this guy going to quit on the next coach?

In the 3rd I definitely get it but over guys like Adderley/Thornhill and so forth?

Please.
Oh, I certainly don't think the guy is a bum. He has talent, and I hope like hell that he decides to put it on display in the NFL. But that's what concerns me, is his attitude and coachability.

I also think he was a a reach where we got him. There were better values at bigger needs for us still on the board. Safety has killed us for years. And there were a handful of players just staring us in the face, waiting to be picked.

But you know what I think the biggest thing that bugs the ever living shit out of me over this is?

For some reason, year after year after year after fucking year we ignored DT. And the ONE FUCKING TIME when the stars aligned and need met opportunity perfectly, THAT'S when we decide to finally address DT with a premium pick? And do it with a reach on a guy with an attitude problem?

This team never makes it easy, that's for sure.

Honestly, this isn’t the UCF homer in me talking...talent wise, he’s not a reach.

Behaviorally, that’s my concern. But if Marinelli and Richard like him and think they can maximize his talent, it’s worth the pick. Ive seen him flat out dominate games without putting up more than 2 tackles on the stat sheet. Just disrupted the middle of the pocket and QB all day while redirecting the RBs.

If Trysten Hill's major concern are his personality traits, I'd love to see the interview he had with our coaching staff and Jerruh that obviously convinced them otherwise.

I mean, Trysten Hill must be one charming m'fer.

I can imagine Hill saying something that has our staff nodding their heads, while we'd be in the viewing room banging on the one-way glass and screaming, "HE LYIN TO YOU, YOU STUPID DIPWADS!!!!"

What kind of an asshole do you have to be to be that much more talented then the other guys and still only get one start?
From what I remember, he pouted when Frost left and wanted to transfer to Nebraska. Whole team was informed they wouldn’t be granted their release to follow Frost, so he came back but basically coasted all year in practice. He always played hard in games, but didn’t put in any effort more than that. He’s also a party guy and stayed out past curfew many times to drink, but Frost swept those under the rug.

This NFL Draft and all its contrived moments really make me feel like I'm a loser immersed in a WWE show and I'm about to yell, "it's all real to me, dammit"

Why did he only produce 3 sacks?
He probably played about half as many snaps as he had in previous years. He was effectively suspended for one game and barely played in the LSU game, and who knows how much his snaps were limited in other games. He dominated in the AAC championship vs. Memphis though and I think that was the game he was most heavily used.

Everybody familiar with him and UCF says he was their best DL but the new staff decided to make an example of him.

So why such poor sack production? Did he not play much? Did he have no pass rush moves? Could he just not finish? Even a two gapper gets more than that usually.
