I'd be surprised if we passed on him if available. So Manziel is basically a lock to us in the 1st, yea?

I used to hate the guy for doing this, but I stopped hating him about 2 years ago. I just accepted him and this team for what they were and understood that barring some inexplicable miracle, that they were never going to win anything. What makes this loss bad is that it could have been Romo's finest moment if he avoids the INT. People would be hanging from his nuts today and putting the blame squarely on the awful D.
But he couldn't seal the deal. His turnover led to the crucial turning point and the inevitable points that won Denver the football game.
If he's there I wouldn't be surprised. DL should be a priority, but I only see Nix, Sutton and Easley as possible DL in the middle of round one. Some have Nix in the top 10 which will likely be out of our reach. If we can't land one of these I expect we'll go with another DB. Can't imagine we use a 1st on LB, especially since we are now playing 4-3. Also don't see us taking OL #1 two years in a row or a WR or TE.So Manziel is basically a lock to us in the 1st, yea?
That's what a lot of people keep overlooking that say we should look for Romo's replacement.I wouldn't hesitate on a QB if the right one was within reach. But with Romo's new extension doubt Jerry will do that (unless it's Manziel).
...and not one of those 8 were Romo's fault. Amazing.Jay Marrioti just said that in the last 8 games in which Romo has a 4Q int, the team is 0-8.
Bad luck, I guess....and not one of those 8 were Romo's fault. Amazing.
Uncanny. That bad hold in the playoff game in Seattle wasn't a fluke...it was an omen.Bad luck, I guess.
I'd like it a lot better if he fell to the 2nd or 3rd.So Manziel is basically a lock to us in the 1st, yea?
I feel bad for him too.I used to hate the guy for doing this, but I stopped hating him about 2 years ago. I just accepted him and this team for what they were and understood that barring some inexplicable miracle, that they were never going to win anything.
With that said, I still feel bad for the guy and I don't know why. I think he wants it bad enough, but he's his own worst nightmare. I knew when he came out for that drive that he was going to throw a pick because that's what he always does in that situation. But before, I was thinking how I'd like him to have his one moment for once.
Take them down the field, break the singe game passing record, throw 5 TD's and beat Peyton Manning in the middle of his finest season of his career. But it only took 2 plays to remind us all, or at least those of us with a brain, that Tony Romo will never ever be a winner.
Sucks for him.
The team isn't good enough to pull away from people.Jay Marrioti just said that in the last 8 games in which Romo has a 4Q int, the team is 0-8.
Sounds like a hater.Jay Marrioti just said that in the last 8 games in which Romo has a 4Q int, the team is 0-8.
Or death knell. The team isn't good enough to pull away from people.
Tossing a 4th quarter interception has been the death nail.
I'd like it a lot better if he fell to the 2nd or 3rd.
So he's getting the Frederick treatment already? Feh. Get the talented player. I don't care when.I'd like it a lot better if he fell to the 2nd or 3rd.
No shit Sherlock, you know what I would really like is to get Clowney in the 7th, I would really REALLY like that.
Those will be looked past quickly. Despite all the off the field issues, he's played his ass off this year. If he has a quiet offseason in a few months, people will think he's starting to mature and he has the skill to back the 1st round status up.So what, Manziel is a guaranteed first rounder?
I thought there were character issues.
