What makes this loss bad is that it could have been Romo's finest moment if he avoids the INT. People would be hanging from his nuts today and putting the blame squarely on the awful D.

But he couldn't seal the deal. His turnover led to the crucial turning point and the inevitable points that won Denver the football game.
I used to hate the guy for doing this, but I stopped hating him about 2 years ago. I just accepted him and this team for what they were and understood that barring some inexplicable miracle, that they were never going to win anything.

With that said, I still feel bad for the guy and I don't know why. I think he wants it bad enough, but he's his own worst nightmare. I knew when he came out for that drive that he was going to throw a pick because that's what he always does in that situation. But before, I was thinking how I'd like him to have his one moment for once.

Take them down the field, break the singe game passing record, throw 5 TD's and beat Peyton Manning in the middle of his finest season of his career. But it only took 2 plays to remind us all, or at least those of us with a brain, that Tony Romo will never ever be a winner.

Sucks for him.

I don't hate or feel sorry anymore than I would feel about seeing anyone who continues to make the same stupid mistakes over and over again.

Put it this way...imagine if he played another position.

Say he was a CB. And he got 3 or 4 picks a game. And then in the waning moments of a crucial big game...nearly every year...he blows coverage and surrenders the game winning points?

Does the offense get blamed for not scoring another TD?

So Manziel is basically a lock to us in the 1st, yea?
If he's there I wouldn't be surprised. DL should be a priority, but I only see Nix, Sutton and Easley as possible DL in the middle of round one. Some have Nix in the top 10 which will likely be out of our reach. If we can't land one of these I expect we'll go with another DB. Can't imagine we use a 1st on LB, especially since we are now playing 4-3. Also don't see us taking OL #1 two years in a row or a WR or TE.

I wouldn't hesitate on a QB if the right one was within reach. But with Romo's new extension doubt Jerry will do that (unless it's Manziel). Otherwise I'd go DL or OL based on the rankings I've seen now. But I know we won't go OL again, so I think it'll be DL or DB...and I think I might break something else if we go DB.

That's what a lot of people keep overlooking that say we should look for Romo's replacement.

Should we? Yes.

Will we? Hell no.

He just signed that damn contract so he's not going anywhere. Even if he threw 40 picks this season, Jerry absolutely loves him and babies him so he'd stubbornly stick with him even if he didn't have that huge contract on the books.

Romo is not going anywhere for at least 3 more years.

Jay Marrioti just said that in the last 8 games in which Romo has a 4Q int, the team is 0-8.

The team isn't good enough to pull away from people.

Tossing a 4th quarter interception has been the death nail.

:lol
No shit Sherlock, you know what I would really like is to get Clowney in the 7th, I would really REALLY like that.
:lol

He does that.

Like talking about how he'd like Byrd...but only at the "right price".

So what, Manziel is a guaranteed first rounder?

I thought there were character issues.

Those will be looked past quickly. Despite all the off the field issues, he's played his ass off this year. If he has a quiet offseason in a few months, people will think he's starting to mature and he has the skill to back the 1st round status up.
