I've just learned over the years that optimism is the better way, day to day. Dont think the utter futility of it where this team is concerned is lost on me though.

Laughingstock of the NFL.......

I'm rooting for Seattle this year.
If I could pick a team to win it all this year, it would be Seattle.

I love the smash mouth football they play on both sides of the ball.

Don't need a book to say there are better options. Even watching high school football.
You don't have to convince me.

There's a reason why I bought tix to the UT/Ole Miss game in 3 weeks.

Just watching this dogshit again makes me understand how lost we are as a franchise.

The Texans acquire talent that fits what they do.

We don't know what we do and just stab in the dark hoping for the best.
It was worse live. Why oh why did I pay good money for that shite?

Yeah its pretty awesome. And ya just gotta love Russell Wilson.

I wonder if he regrets marrying the Rancor though.....

I know how he feels to a certain extent.

When you're a football junkie, it's not a hobby or an interest - it's a passion.

You love the game and you're fascinated by the intricacies of it. Coach talk is awesome to listen in on as are breakdowns of coverages and formations and other football related strategy. So when you love the game that much, you can't help but be interested whenever the game is on regardless of the circumstance.

But these Cowboys have just slowly killed a lot if that for me. I still love the game, but I find that I'm not as much of a football nerd like I used to be. I don't watch the play book show every time it comes on as I did 5 years ago. I dont get up extra early on Sundays to catch every football show on before kickoff. I know that the biggest reason for that is due to the state of this team. It's not the same when you have no horse in the race, especially when the outlook is as bleak as ours is.

In Booze's case, it looks like it hasn't affected his interest in the game in spite of the fact that the team has become such a mess.

I mean, you gotta be hard core to watch the 4th preseason game....twice. :lol
Main reason I watched it again was to somehow, someway convince myself that, of the shit on that field, I could feel better about a few players who I knew would populate this roster tomorrow afternoon.

I switched that game completely off just past halftime watching it live.

I have not done that purposely since Dave Campo was the head coach.

And no, assholes...I only watched the replay through the part where that fucking faggot Escobar couldn't get his fucking foot down and went lumbering back to the sidelines with his mouth wide open like a retard.

He is a real mouth breather. His mouth is never not open. He is a real retard.

Anyhoo...back to the topic. I just wanted to see if there was anyone, I mean a single player, on the bottom of this roster that I could say, yeah, they actually look like they could make it.

I had to give up.

Despite how negative I appear, I am a homer at heart. We all are, in a way. No matter how negative we appear.

He had more than enough room to get that 2nd foot down, but he apparently didn't have the presence of mind to realize where he was and nor to get the quick tap down of the foot.

We all have hope. Some of us have more realistic hopes than others, but we all still have hope in spite of what our situation is.

If you didn't have that maybe-one-in-a-million-so-you're-saying-there's-a-chance feeling inside, then there'd be no point in even watching the games.

The saddest thing is that it's probably going to have to require one of those miracle things that happens with no real logic behind it in order to finally win anything of note under our current regime.

LOL at Booze's hatred for for Escobar.

At least we'll get some entertainment from that turd of a draft pick.

If Escobar were an undrafted camp body that we brought in off the streets he's probably off the team by 6PM today.

I really really hate the guy. I really do. It has been a quick and very intense hate that honestly I can't say I have had for many players over the years.

He plays like a complete coward and he will be a pick we all shake our heads at in about three years when the Joneses finally let him disappear.

Didn't you have this same hatred for Sean Lee at the beginning? And like Bobby Carpenter at first?

Wasn't it Lee you were all bent out of shape over on draft day, when you and I were arguing? Or was that someone else.

And I know you liked Carpenter in the beginning. Fess up.

Not excusing Escobar...loosing track of the sideline happens all tue time. AJ Green said himself he lost track of the sideline for a would be TD.

That said Escrobar has a lot of polish work to do beyond finding the goal line. Hopefully its a lightswitch not turning on yet then it does.

I did hate the Lee pick on draft day since we gave up a pick for what I thought was an oft-injured player. And even though he's won me over as a negro, I never thought it was a horrible pick from the get -go like this one. And yes, I shamefully admit I fell for the Parcells proppage of Bobbeh.

We got torched big time on the right from runs. I was paying attention to Heath to see what he would show after getting some attention and was extemely disappointed. He looked horrid, taking bad angles, getting himself blocked in the wash, taking to long to diagnose the play (on one play loosing track of the ball carrier) and breaking down way too far from the ball carrier.

I was pulling for teh white bread in acount of saftey injuries and conerns but he doesn't deserve to make the cut.

Everyone looked bad, but you are right. None of our safeties past the starters and Wilcox are worth anything.

I hated Carpenter even before we picked him up because I knew he was a no talent bum that had a great chance to go to us since Parcells knew his deddy.

I kept hoping he wouldn't come to us, but I just knew he would.
