That hit on Lee would draw a $20K fine now.

Bostic's hit was cleaner than that and the league hit him with that ridiculous fine.

80% playtime is pretty high.

You see guys like Willis get nicked a good bit too.

He shattered his wrist signing the extension though.
And he still would try to practice/play.

I don't have an issue giving a guy like Lee this kind of deal and rolling the dice.

We have handed complete leeches like Jay Ratliff and Anthony Spencer money and they aren't in any hurry to get back on the field.

A.J. Hawk signed a five-year, $33.75 million contract extension not too long ago. I can live with this.

Good, so we're paying Lee more than the best MLB in the league.

To a guy who has never played a full season or made a Pro Bowl.

Cap's gonna be tight next year, though, right fellas?

I like Sean Lee but my idea of getting an early extension for him would have been a little below what the top player in the league at his position is making. You know, something along those lines.

Baby steps, Schmitty.

We already understand and completely agree that our front office is incompetent.

But this might be one of the rare times the sun does shine on it's ass...mainly because Sean Lee is a swell guy.

And don't tell me when you first heard six year extension that you didn't think it would be way, way worse.

How are we paying him more than Willis?

6 years, $51 million is more per year than 7 years, 53 million.

The lesser guaranteed money makes it more palatable but no wonder we never have any cap room.
