The Twins and Whitsox played a doubleheader yesterday, and the Twins went 1-for-18 (grand slam) with runners in scoring position, struck out 25 times and left 19 men on base. But they hit seven homers, with all 10 of their runs coming by way of the long ball, winning both games. Good thing the sox stink even more than the twins.

And Brian Duensing won both games. I wonder when the last time somebody won two games in one day.

Rangers take another from the Astros. Who'd have thunk two weeks ago when they were 6 games down to the A's they'd be 1 game up today? Wow what a fickle lot we have.

Got his first HR today too. Curious to see what position they play him in the future. Ideally, Ike comes back strong next year and we deal Murphy to an AL team for an OF...then Flores plays 2B. If Ike fails then he plays 1B.

Tejada..although I think the future SS is not on the current roster. Flores is too big and does not have enough range to play SS.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the Braves.

The hitting and pitching has been incredibly strong over the last few weeks.

I just wish they were riding this hot streak into the playoffs instead of it being in mid-August.
