I don't recall Webb getting talked up much at all other than for the play he made at the scrimmage.

He had a slow start but I seem to remember reading some very positive reports after that. I think some of the problem is Sterling Moore has supposedly been pretty impressive in camp so he has over shadowed BW a bit. Seems like every time I hear about a corner getting a pick during practice it is Black Wiener.

I canceled Sunday Ticket following the '08 season. I didn't need to pay extra to watch them choke seasons away like they did at Philly. Still waiting for a reason to sign up again, but in 5 years still haven't found one or missed it.

I'll still watch the games that air on the network but have no desire to pay to watch them on the Ticket or in person.

In my area, I'll only have an opportunity to see 4-5 games without DTV. The Panthers dominate the airtime here. I certainly won't be sitting around wringing my hands trying to find out when they play.

But, by some miracle the Cowboys come out of the gate strong, I can reup my STicket at any time. But after the offseason the Carnival Barker has put together, its safe to say I can keep that 150 bucks for something else.

Up here the Cowboys are usually on unless it conflicts with a Redskins game. Most years 10-11 games are on in this area. Even in our 5 win seasons we'd get about 8 games on here. Occasionally a Cowboys game has gotten 2nd billing to a Panthers game (as if anyone here cares about them), but they are the 2nd closest NFC team. The worst was when Vick played for the Falcons straight out of Va Tech. The local affiliate shoved those games down our throat every chance they got.

With all of the Sunday night / Monday night / Thurs night / Thanksgiving / Christmas season etc games, it's usually only 4-6 times that the Cowboys and Redskins are playing other teams at the same time and same channel. I definitely get my fill of bad Cowboy football.

He was getting positive talk of the camp earlier and about his play in the team scrimmage, let's not pretend he has been struggling.
Well, we do know this:

In practice a couple days ago, both Claiborne and Carr were out. Who moved up to the first team? Scandrick and Sterling Moore.

Ok, the you might say it's just that Moore is playing well. Except the third corner wasn't Webb either, it was Brandon Underwood. Honestly I don't even know who that is.

So I'd say Webb is probably struggling right now.

Yeah, I think given that, it's reasonable to say he's the rookie I'm most disappointed in.

I kind of get what you're saying.

We all understand that he's only a 4th rounder and that he played at a small school, but you thought he had the tools to be a surprise contributor this season.

And based your personal expectations of him he's been a bit of a disappointment.

I get that.

Yeah, that's pretty much it.

I guess "I win" for getting Carp's panties in a knot.

Schweet. I've done the same thing for a few years. I haven't even had TV, late this month will be starting the fourth year. I'll probably crack and get rabbit ears for free tv...but it's all so horrible.

I've picked up direct political activism in the NCGOP. Started out as the only "Liberty Republican" in Pitt County. This year I was elected by Acclimation as the First Vice Chair of the Third Congressional District NCGOP. Also, I'm serving as the First Vice Chair of the Republican Liberty Caucus of NC.....starting my 3rd year of that now. Honestly, it is nearly as frustrating as The Cowboys, but I've seen our numbers grow and I'm seeing conversions now. It's been like being an expansion franchise. But at least we gain in strength every year and can really see progress that will hopefully bring about a wholesale R3volution in NC within the GOP. We've got some serious challengers coming after the establishment. If it all ends ugly, when I finally go to the pit, no one will be able to say of me that "he did nothing."

All that said, I think I should pull back some and do some fishing, though. I miss it. Props for not pumping a dime into those Whores. Egomaniac billionaires like Jones are a big part of all our problems today with regard to power running amuck and undo influence of the moneyed.

Don't take this post wrong, I'm grateful to be able to get a one stop shop catch up on the only team I ever followed and I really enjoy the personalities here. I read every couple of weeks or so. I even find myself thinking of Rant and what a precious gift it is for me to be alive. I'm grateful for what you guys do here and bring to the table. If I don't have to file bankruptcy later this year or next, I'll throw in a donation come 'income salary check/tax credit time'. See you in detention.
