I think they will too. Doesn't mean they'll get it right, but they'll try. I could also see them going harder after a Drew Brees FA type (not saying get Drew Brees now, I mean when Brees was a FA).
That's my point. It may take them a couple of tries to get it right but I'm fine with that.

I can tolerate working through busts like David Carr because at least there's an honest attempt to get better.

I like that idea because Johnny is going to take a team to extraordinary heights or he's going to burn the team to the ground. That just seems like it will be a fun ride. Either way it is going to be extremely entertaining. I think that being a Cowboys fan has made me insane.

He'll probably sign a Carson Palmer type and draft some loser five rounds early

That's my guess.

These other scenarios you guys are talking about here just doesn't sound like Jerry.

Why would jerry have learned anything? First, since when does he ever learn anything? Second, his way "worked." he found Romo.

Remind me again how we lost to an expansion team with a rookie QB making his first start? Probably the most disgusting, inexplicable defeat in the last 15 years.

That's true. He found a QB with zero initial investment.

I just read the Texans are putting in video boards even bigger than the ones at JerryWorld.

The owner must have an even smaller dick than Jerry does

I thought he learned a lesson about hiring a stooge coach after Campo. Wrong.
The difference is that hiring a coach like Parcells undermines his ego and the amount of credit he gets. I'm sure he knows damn good and well that a coach like Parcells will bring more success but he only wants to have success his way with him getting the credit.

That's not the case with a QB obviously and I think a monkey-see-monkey-do idiot like Jones is likely going to look at the early success of young QB's like Wilson, Griffin and Kaepernick and when the time comes he'll probably force a high 1st round pick into action immediately. I don't think we're going to BS around with baseball prospects and late round picks when the time comes, we might go after a Carson Palmer-esque bridge but I don't think it will be long before Jerry spends a high 1st on a QB.

Bill Polian has a quote that resonates..."It is amazing what you can accomplish when no one cares who gets the credit.".

The Q story would make a good '30 for 30'

"What if I told you that an egomaniacal imbecile drafted a drug-addled moron and handed him the keys to the most famous franchise in football?"
