Elbow stiffness would scare the crap out of anyone, but from what I'm reading is it's just an excuse to give him a few weeks off. We have a day off after the AZ series so they're going to run with a 4 man rotation for now.
I knew there was something wrong with him. Only way the Yanks weak lineup would score 5 runs in 5 innings against him.

Although its fun to see I think I need some wins that don't require a walk off hit.

It certainly has been fun to watch, though. I turned the game off night before last when it was 11-7 Angels. Got a nice surprise the next morning.

I see where CJ Edwards has two very good starts under his belt for the Cubs and has even been moved up to high A.

Your welcome, Ed.

Oh and the article that I saw was titled The String Bean Slinger... :lol

Considering how few really impact trades went down this season I'm very pleased with what the Cubs got for Garza. Edwards is one of the few really promising arms in their system though. Kind of excited about his potential.

Garza could really help the Rangers but he won't do a whole lot of good if they can't score any runs. I'm shocked that they didn't pursue a bat. They should have just had the Cubs throw Soriano into the Garza deal. They paid $17M of his remaining $24M and he's under contract next season as well. Maybe he invoked his no trade clause? Don't know. Maybe the Rangers just weren't interested. Seems like they could use him right now. He's not great but he's decent and still hits for power.

The Tigers tried to get Profar but couldnt put together enough pieces. I think they should have just thrown in Cabrera. Just wasnt a very good trading deadline to get a bat. Teams just werent really selling or valued them way too much. Miami refused to even discuss Stanton. Garza is just a 2 month rental and then gone.

The Rangers are going through some lineup changes that seem to be working so maybe it will be better. At least until Cruz gets the hammer.

What a rollercoaster of a season for the rangers. Just when you start counting them out they totally redeem themselves!

Just wait. The bats will go cold soon enough.

Feliz threw a scoreless inning with 2 Ks. If we could just make the playoffs that bullpen would be nasty. Nathan, Scheppers Soria, Feliz, Cotts, Ross, and possibly Ogando if Lewis comes back. Hard to imagine a better pen.

Looks like A-Rod will be banned for the rest of this season and all of 2014. 12 more will be banned with him. Nellie Cruz is most likely one of those. I just hope he doesn't get that long of a ban.

This was Cruz's first offense, right? If so, I think he'll only be hit with the customary 50 game ban.

Its going to be 50 games for any on this list. Some are even saying it will double if anyone appeals. That sounds crappy to. Extra 15 games if you lied which is why Braun got 65. Melky Cabrera, Bartolo Colon won't have to do the suspension since they did it last season. Really stinks for Texas. Hurts the team during a pennant racebut doesn't affect some.

I don't think they can double the fine if they appeal it. But Rangers need to sign Cruz to a 2 year extension for about 25-30 mil, and tell him to appeal it. :buddy

Holland's pitching well. Glad we are leaving Oakland only 2.5 behind vs. 4.5. It's been a good week plus. I hope they can keep it up whatever comes next week!
