I guess no one rushed out and bought NCAA today.
I plan on getting it sometime this week.

It's the only football game I'll be playing until November when the next-gen Madden comes out, so I should get solid replay value out of it.

Sheesh. They haven't improved the graphics much since GTA III.
Since GTA 3? Not sure what you mean by that, it's leaps and bounds better.

But if you meant GTA 4, then yes, I agree. I'm not even sure the graphics as good as RDR (which was made by the same company and therefore would have no excuse for taking a step back).

I think Rockstar needs the new generation of hardware to take the leap. Makes one wonder if they should have waited to release GTA V until they could develop it for the PS4/Xbone.

For such a big franchise GTA's graphics have long been subpar.
Yea, they artistic design of the game has always been lacking, but that could be due to the resources being used in other aspects of the game due to it having such a massive world.

Still, they did choose an interesting direction to go as far as the game art goes and I think it could've been better.

Well I think there was a clear upgrade from the GTA III/Vice City/San Andreas era to the GTA IV/RDR era. The hardware was different (GTAIII era was PS2/Xbox, GTAIV was PS3/Xbox360), so it allowed them to upgrade their graphics.

Still, if you look at GTA III and compare it to San Andreas, the graphics and details got decidedly better from III to San Andreas.

And if you look at GTA IV, the graphics are definitely better in RDR. So I was expecting another improvement from RDR to GTAV.

Based on that trailer I'm not sure that it's an improvement over RDR, or even as good as RDR.

I'm sure next generation we will get another improvement though.

Wait a minute.....you're telling me there's a Rambo game coming out?

That I can play through all 3 of the Rambo adventures from the 80's?

Take my money now, please. :hawfap

You miserable old bastid.

Nothing impresses you.

Where's your nostalgia?
I have plenty of nostalgia. I just happen to think the Rambo movies were crap. The first one was okay, the second eh and the subsequent were complete and utter crap.

I'll say this for GTAV.....I've never been a huge fan of those games, but this one looks impressive.

I enjoyed them and found them entertaining, although the last few got stale, IMO. But I've never gotten all the hype for it and find it crazy that people get so pumped just for the fricking box art.

I wasn't expecting much from that trailer, but the game looks to have finally evolved after a long time of being stuck in the same spot. This one could be great.

Yeah, I can't wait to go golfing, then swing a drug deal later on.

I'll give you the movie quality argument.

The first one was very good, IMO. It was one of Stallone's very best acting jobs. The next two won't make any lists of great films, but they were mindless fun and they remind me of my childhood just like the Rocky movies do.

To play a Rambo game that actually takes you through the actual movies is pretty cool to me.

I remember the old Rambo game for the NES.

I played that hell out of this game as a kid.

I think the interaction between 3 different characters in the middle of a mission has potential to be really good, and it's a nice change of pace from what's been in the game before.

That clip where the guy is breaking into the high rise building with his partner supporting him from a sniping position looks cool.

Is there an old game that you guys still pull out and play every now and then. By "old" I mean something from the original XBox, PS1, or early Nintendo days.

I'll play Final Fantasy VII every now and then on my PS3.

Die Hard Trilogy and Castlevania: SOTN are PS1 games that I usually fire up once a year or so.

Probably the oldest game that I continued to occasionally play into the 2010s was Diablo 2.

The first Rambo movie was great. The game looks like ass.
