I'm going to pick Miami in a close one, but I really think San Antonio has an excellent chance to finish them off in game 6.
I see a very tight game with San Antonio taking it in regulation. Maybe Miami gets an OT win.

Says who? Green was a starter on our National Championship team and he was a deadly 3 point shooter all the way. He never ran up the points because Hansbrough, Lawson, and Ellington ate them all up.

But Danny Green was great at Carolina and an integral part of that team.

Is he the NBA Finals MVP right now? I think at this point you'd say yes.
I think so too. During my lifetime I can't think a Finals MVP who came out of nowhere like this.

I think Parker will be MVP. The games that the Spurs have won, Parker has been great. The games they lost, Parker was either injured or just playing poorly. Green has done a great job, but most of his points have been open knockdown jump shots.

I can't go Parker. Green's been more consistent from the start.

Obviously Parker shoulders more of the offensive load being that he's the PG, but I still think it's Green.

Easy to be consistent when you're in a groove and given 10 open looks a game. It's the same reason Ray Allen set the previous record a couple years ago. Pierce and KG drew the defense and kicked it out for an open 3. Setting the record then didn't net Allen the MVP and rightfully so.

It would be tough between those two, but I would pick Parker.

Apparently the Clips-Celtics deal is getting really close to happening. I don't really see the point for the Clippers aside from the fact that it apparently satisfies Paul for whatever reason, and that in and of itself is probably enough considering they can't really afford to lose him under any circumstances.

But still, a team built around CP3/Griffin/a 53 year old Garnett is not going to seriously challenge for anything.

It will seriously challenge for the playoffs every year, which is a major improvement for the Clippers.

They've been in the playoffs for two years straight. It's time for them to make a deeper run.

But I do agree with Simp. Garnett probably has one productive year left in him. I don't see them making a serious run next year. Memphis, San Antonio, and OKC will probably be better than them.

Horrid. I think McLemore going there is a joke too. They keep comparing him to Ray Allen...I just don't see it. They took Waiters early last year too.

I'd take Anthony Bennett or Noel without hesitation.

I think the McLemore/Allen comparisons are solid, but I agree he won't end up on Cleveland. Waiters had a solid year and that's a backcourt worth building with. I think they should take Noel and hope his offensive game develops.

Apparently McClemore hasn't enamored himself with the scouts.

From ESPN Insider:

His lack of preparation for the draft is hurting him. Multiple sources told me that his workout in Phoenix was not impressive. McLemore, according to sources, wasn’t in shape and struggled to keep up in the workout. I heard similar things in Orlando.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Personally I've never been high on him. Nice player but he no-showed in a couple of the Big XII and NCAA Tourney games. You can't be a lottery pick and mail it in like he did.

Plus I've watched his highlight videos and I didn't see anything that I would consider special talent. His highlights are mostly alley oops and uncontested dunks. I want to see his handle and see him make plays against tough defense.

Doc Rivers unsure about returning to Celtics as coach after Clippers deal falls apart

After talks in a blockbuster deal fell apart over draft pick compensation, Doc Rivers is unsure about returning to the Boston Celtics as coach, league sources told Yahoo! Sports on Tuesday.

Celtics general manager Danny Ainge informed Rivers of the failed trade talks on Tuesday morning, and reiterated the Celtics' desire to have him return and fulfill the final three years and $21 million left on his contract, sources said.

Rivers will travel to Boston on Wednesday and discuss his future with Ainge. The Celtics and Rivers plan to reach a final resolution in the next few days, sources said.

The Clippers refused to part with two first-round picks and DeAndre Jordan as part of a package to bring Kevin Garnett and Rivers to Los Angeles. The Clippers had started to waver on the trade in the past few days, inspiring belief among many in the process that the notoriously frugal franchise had grown uneasy about paying Rivers the five-year, $35 million contract that it had negotiated with him, along with a $3 million-plus trade kicker on Jordan's contract.

The Clippers had reached agreement with Rivers in recent days on the five-year contract that included incentives that could have pushed his annual salary near $8 million, league sources said.

As much as Rivers wanted the Clippers job, Boston management wanted to use the deal to speed up its rebuilding process. Ainge and Rivers aren't at odds, sources said.

The Clippers plan to return to interviewing candidates for their coaching job, including Brian Shaw, Byron Scott and Lionel Hollins, sources said.

The Clippers informed the Celtics on Tuesday morning that they were unwilling to meet Ainge's price to complete the deal. There were no discussions about probing other ways to complete the deal, sources said.

Nevertheless, there is always an opportunity for the teams to still revisit parameters of a deal until Los Angeles has hired a coach.

This Clippers play was a gamble for Rivers, who has jeopardized his immense popularity in Boston with the bid to be part of a bold deal to go to Los Angeles with Garnett.

Rivers pushed for the Clippers partnership because of his desire to bypass a rebuilding process with Boston. As one source tied to Boston ownership and Rivers said, "You don't just move on from this and act like nothing happened."

Rivers has TV broadcast options available to him if he steps away from coaching, but he won't be able to work in the NBA again without the Celtics releasing him from his contract. Boston will demand compensation out of any team trying to hire Rivers in management or coaching.
