That team is just fucked up...I think Magic gave it AIDS.

I don't hate the Mets as much as I did in say 1986, but yeah, Fuck the Mets.

Speaking of 86, their staff this year is reminiscent of that staff.
So you are saying Amaro is back.....

TBS has so much better coverage...I like the strike zone they showed, and the picture is just much clearer.

I was just thinking the same thing.

The strike zone they show really comes in handy, and it would've been nice to have the live update after that 4th pitch to Revere which looked to be high and outside.

As an aside, what were the odds that the Royals would get out of the inning with a man on 3rd with no outs?

Very much looking forward to this series. I like the way the Royals play...and as a Mets fan, this team rivals the 86 team in terms of being fun to watch. Strawberry is my all-time favorite, but Wright is right there and this rotation is amazing in that Harvey is the longest tenured starter. Wish I did have to wait until Tuesday.

Small town Mets vs big city Royals. Believe in the underdog.

Who is the asshole behind home plate who keeps making throat slash gestures before every other pitch?

Douche.

Wow. Great game last night. I hate to lose, there are good things I take from this though. Niese was great out of the pen...and Flores and Lagares stepped up. Flores has always worried me defensively, but he was excellent last night. Lagares was a bolt of energy and just settled right into the game. Obviously the misplay by Cespedes and Wright's error, plus his inability to drive in runs hurt. Can't be mad at Familia...his sinker did not sink, but he has been money for us.
