Seriously doubt they start him tonight. Not sure why they would. Kendrick is a much better player at this point.

Well, looks like both Texas teams are going to blow an excellent opportunity to advance to the LCS.

Both came home with 2-0 leads, and they're both very likely going back on the road for game 5.

Gary Sheffield was just talking about how Utley plays hard/borderline dirty (takeout slides, knees to the back, etc.) but gets pissed off if someone does the same thing to him when he plays 2nd base. That is awfully bitchy. If you want to dish it out you better be prepared to take it.

Sorry didnt have the right response. Being on the road is an advantage for Texas this year. Not blowing the lead. That's never an advantage.

I don't know how true it is but he played in the league a long time, overlapping with Utley for several years. I'm sure he knows a lot of guys still playing in the league too. I doubt his opinion is coming out of nowhere. Is it accurate? No idea, but his opinion is informed.

First, Sheffield has a long reputation as a douche. Not who I'd call credible.

Second, I've followed Utley for a long time and this is not the narrative up til now. But the pitchforks are out and lazy people like Sheffield want to pile on.

Third, here's Charlie Manuel on Utley (doesn't sound like a guy who can't take it):

The ball took a big hop off the mound, but for a major league SS it was a routine play and he was too busy eyeing the runner to setup a double play and whiffed.
