I would gladly take him back and forget this nonsense.

Before you knuckleheads jump on this about salary ramifications I would naturally want a reasonable contract if the eagles part ways.

I sure do.

And what the hell is the point in splitting series with offensive lineman? It's the dumbest thing you can do in my opinion. O-lineman build continuity with each other as games go on and as seasons go on. By rotating these guys you're basically just fucking with them. It seems like some dumb pop warner move to keep both guys happy by giving them both a chance to play.

Demarcus Lawrence was able to run him down from behind. Maybe Murray is just done.

Don't look now guys, but this is a good defense. And the stars, the best players, in the form of Hardy and McClain haven't even played.

What a game this D had yesterday.
McClain isn't better than Lee or Crawford. It is arguable whether or not Hardy is better than Lee

I agree. Murray is struggling in Philly, but he is still streets ahead of anyone on our roster

As would I.

I honestly think there's a chance he gets released if he has a bad year. Let's say he finishes with 700-800 yards and continues to see limited touches, I seriously doubt that ownership is going to want to pay him near 50 million to be a role player.

So I think there's only 2 ways he stays in Philly:

Management steps in and forces Kelly to use him, or Kelly gets fired himself and the next coach favors a physical running game and plans to make Murray a big part of that.

If it becomes a case of just a total rebuild, then I tbink he gets cut and I would be more than happy to take him back.

I don't think that's an indictment of Murray's burst or lack thereof, it has more to do with the crazy penetration our D-line wa getting. It was amazing how often our guys were in the backfield before he even got the ball. So with an early jump and the right angle, you're going to see RBs "run down" by lineman very often.

Murray has never been a speed back anyway. He was getting run down last year

Interesting to see whether they are gonna say this is more like a 6 week injury or more like a 12 week injury.
Romo? He might be done for the year.
Didn't Rodgers suffer this exact same injury 2 seasons ago?

I remember he came back just in time for the season finale and he helped them win the division at Chicago.

How much time did he miss?

Maybe but I know they aren't using him correctly. I seriously doubt he is completely done. I don't expect 2014 all over again but coming back home for a year or two could do wonders.

I believe that Jerry Jones made a pact with the Devil to keep Sean Lee healthy this season, and now every time Lee is about to get injured the Devil is taking another Pro Bowl player in his place. This is some Final Destination shit yo.

Yep. Kelly keeps saying he doesn't care about time of possession. I think that's a fundamental flaw in his coaching.
Absolutely.

Some guys have no business coaching in the NFL and Kelly is one of them. This isn't college football where unconventional stuff works week in and week out. This is professional football where the formula for success always has been and always will be the same.

T.O.P. is one of the most important aspects to winning. He thinks he's some type of genius by not giving the opposition time to adjust, but he doesn't realize that all he's doing is wearing out his own defense when his offense stalls as it did yesterday.

We had 40 min of possession yesterday.

40!

The most amazing part of that is that we did this without a good running game. We owe that to Chip Kelly and his persistence in running a BS gimmicky offense that isn't going to win in the NFL.

Agreed.

Every time they hand that guy the ball, they're asking him to run east and west and/or out of the shotgun.

That's like us drafting Gregory then asking him to play MLB.

It just boggles the mind why they are using Murray the way they are - as if they had no idea what type of player he was when they signed him.

It's an indictment on the fact that Murray isn't breaking tackles and making anyone miss.

Why? Nearly every RB in history who has had as many touches as Murray had last year has basically gone into a shell for the rest of their career. I wouldn't be so quick to say that Murray still has it and it's everybody else who is at fault for his shitty performance. The Eagles blocking as sucked but at some point you have to put a little of the blame on Murray as well. We all saw plays where Joseph Randle had a guy in the backfield, made him miss and got a few yards yesterday. Did you see Murray doing any of that?
