Well I don't think anyone can make an argument right now that we should have kept Murray. The jury is still out on Randle. He had some nice runs today but he also got stuffed too much. We couldn't run very well against the Eagles last year either.
The only two games where Murray didn't get 100 yards last year was against the Eagles. Just as a little nugget of info.

Murray is getting the same defensive treatment that Lynch is getting from the Packers.

I think the defense will carry the team to a couple of wins such as Atlanta. The team will get stronger on the defensive side in a couple of weeks and I would hope the new RB will have been installed by then. If that happens then the running game has a chance for a, one, two punch. If that happens it will take some pressure off Weeden and make his efforts more effective. That's a lot of ifs.
It's nice having a 2-0 division record right now to give us a little cushion for some of that stuff to happen. I think Weeden can be effective though. I just don't think he is the type of guy that you want to rely heavily on. More a 20-25 throws a game guy who can really make some great throws with his arm but also can make some really boneheaded mistakes.

Agree. That's why I hopethe team installs the other running back. McFAdden is zero help.

The Packers are stacking on Lynch and forcing the game on the QB. That's exactly what Dallas did.
I didn't really see that, what it looked like to me was the Eagles offensive line sucking dick at run blocking and then Bradford basically not being able to hit the broad side of a barn. There were a number of times were Bradford just couldn't find anyone open. Basically nothing was going right for the Eagles. However, when you watched Randle there were some runs where a guy was in his face in the backfield and you saw him make that guy miss and still get a few yards. You just didn't really see that with Murray, when he was met in the backfield he was dropped.

The Dallas front 4 defense played the run first then went to a, pass rush for the majority of the game. Only a few times did they even attempt a blitz toward the qb. I don recall a sack but there might have been one.

If we can go 4 wins and 6 losses, we still have a chance to do some great things with everyone back. I'm a pessimist, but this season isn't lost yet.

Yeah the boat isn't sunk but it has taken on some water.

I think Weeden did exactly what was asked of him. He came in and didn't lose the game. I'm more worried about the guys around Weeden than our backup QB. For us to be successful we need to run the ball and to do that we need to leave Mcfadden at the house or get him some screens where he can use his speed.

Hitchens got the lone sack in the game for us.

The commentators gave the Dallas game a lot of lip but the Packer game doesn't look much different.

Deion o the NFL network thinks the Eagles acquired Murray just to get him away from Dallas.
I don't usually agree with him, but it certainly appears that way given how little they've used him coupled with the calls they make when he's in the game.

They don't do anything that plays to his strengths.

If that were the case why wouldn't the Eagles just leave him on the bench? Chip wanted a power back. I don't think it had that much to do with screwing the Cowboys. I think it had to do with Kelly thinking a power back is perfect for his system when in reality a scat back makes way more sense in his offense.

Not that i'm telling you guys anything you don't know, but hot damn sean lee is a perennial all pro when he is healthy. His vision for the game is freakish.

edit: watching a recording of the game again.
