There seemed to be a bit of desperation involved as well. Remember they'd already traded McCoy away and the Gore deal had fallen through. So it was looking like their rushing attack would feature Ryan Mathews.

I can see desperation, but no way do I think he did it simply to get Murray away from Dallas. Most idiotic move in all of the history of the entire NFL if so.

What did Deion say exactly? I think it's a bit ridiculous to think the Eagles didn't want Murray the player's talent but simply wanted to dick the Cowboys over. The Eagles clearly wanted some bigger backs for whatever reason. It's not like any of the Eagles RBs did dick against us.

It would defy logic to do that. I have my doubts about Chip Kelly but I seriously doubt he is that dumb. I think Kelly really felt like a big back would thrive in his offense. Right now no RBs are thriving in his offense because the blocking is horrendous and no one believes the QB is running with the ball.

So do you agree with that? It seemed like you were agreeing with it. I certainly think it played into part of the signing but I don't buy for a second that Chip didn't sign him because he thought Murray would help his offense get better.
