It's an observation. You act like I am prophesing the end of the world.
No I am acting like the thought of them saving Murray is, let's say far-fetched and illogical.

Yes it's your observation and it seems based on very little then you making an excuse for his poor showing.

You seem to forget this is a place where people get called out all the time.

Haven't heard your explanation as to why Murray was pretty much put on the shelf for that game. And it has nothing to do with my concern for his showing. That's your erroneous conclusion. I simply don't see why he wasn't used more since the organization doled out so much for him and the only thing that occurs to me is that he wasn't effective so why subject him further to something that wasn't working. They changed personnel scenes and didn't go back to him so I presume they saw no need to use him further in the game. Obviously he will be in the lineup for Dallas because it hyped as a grudge match.

All of this aside, Murray looked like shit. Whether it was how they used him or not. He looked terrible.

A player miscast is going to look like shit.
It was strange seeing how the Eagles chose to use him Monday night. Throughout the off season all the talk was how Murray was the one cut, downhill runner that Kelly prefers. Then you tune into the game and they have Murray running a bunch of sweeps, trying to get him out on the edges.

Pretty much.

I just chalk that to first game idiocy.

You see a lot of teams do stupid shit in the openers they don't do otherwise.

Joseph Randle worried about his game, not DeMarco Murray

Jean-Jacques Taylor, ESPN Staff Writer

IRVING, Texas - Running back Joseph Randle is taking a low-key approach to DeMarco Murray’s first game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Murray, who gained 1,845 yards for the Cowboys last season, signed a five-year, $42 million deal with Philadelphia in the off-season. Randle started the Cowboys' season opener last week against the New York Giants.

Murray had 392 carries last season; Randle had 54.

"We were more similar than I would’ve imagined. We're both hard workers,” Randle said of Murray. “I have a lot of respect for his game, but this week we’re opponents.

"Right now, I’m just trying to focus on me and perfecting my game so I’m the best Joe Randle on Sunday that I can be. It's not really about stats; the stats will come with execution."

Randle said all of his focus is on improving his performance. He’s been studying Philadelphia’s defense, which allowed 105 yards on 30 carries. Tevin Coleman gained 80 yards on 20 carries.

Randle had 107 yards of total offense - 65 rushing and 42 receiving - but wants the first 100-yard game of his career.

Murray had 12 100-yard games last season.

"I’ve been waiting for this opportunity. I hate to be a little selfish, but I still haven't had a 100-yard game left,” Randle said. “There are a lot of things I have to focus on with my game to help this team win.

"I took what the defense was giving us and made plays when my number was called against New York. I figured out, kinda, that if you continue to make plays when they call your number you’ll get more opportunities to do that."

He forgot to open the door last week. He only peeked out.

Ron Leary says he’s ahead of schedule, hopes to play Sunday

BY DREW DAVISON

Dallas Cowboys left guard Ron Leary missed his second consecutive day of practice Thursday with a strained groin, but isn’t giving up hope of playing Sunday in Philadelphia.

Leary went through conditioning work on Thursday, and could participate in some fashion during Friday’s practice.

“That’s the goal,” Leary said. “We’ll treat it tonight and see how it feels tomorrow.”

Leary played 52 of 71 plays against the New York Giants in the season opener, leaving in the second half. Veteran Mackenzy Bernadeau replaced Leary at left guard and finished the game.

The Cowboys’ other option to replace Leary is rookie La’el Collins, who was inactive for the season opener.

“There’ll be a competition between those guys [Bernadeau and Collins] this week if Ron is not able to go,” coach Jason Garrett said. “We’ll determine by week’s end who is going to play and what the rotation might be.”

Leary is hoping to be cleared to play by then. He missed the Arizona game in 2014 when he strained the other groin, the only game he hasn’t started in three seasons with the Cowboys.

Leary said this injury is not as severe as the one that sidelined him last year.

“I think it was a little worse last year,” Leary said. “It’s a game time decision, but I feel good right now. It’s getting better every day. I was able to do some running around today, so I’m ahead of schedule already.”

I hope he plays Sunday, but I also hope we find a way to make Collins active so that if anything happens he goes into the game instead of Bernie. Of course the problem is Bernie backs up center and guard. If he isn't active and our center goes down I guess Martin shifts over?
