The Eagles blocking sucked. I'm not a Murray apologist but RBs can only so what the blocking allows.
We would never accuse you of being a Murray apologist. Now Randle OTOH......

I don't need to apologize for a RB who is on pace for over 1000 yards this season on the ground...
1000 yards is not the benchmark it once was and Hambrick almost had that as well. That's beside the point anyways. You come to Randles defense faster than most is all I was joking about.

It seemed to me that Randle was being very careful, just trying to avoid mistakes. Sure, he fumbled, but that was a fluky fumble that got kneed out of his hands as he was going down. He'll get better.

Yeah, wasn't really trying to start a Randle discussion. Just joking a little bit back.

They were kind of down on Randle on the Lunch Break. They said he wasn't following his blocks correctly. I agree,he just doesn't seem like an instinctive runner .

Can't say I disagree. He doesn't have a feel for the blocking like Murray did.

He's a North-South runner on what's proving to be an East-West team.
Which is funny because being east-west was one of Kelly's rationalizations for getting rid of McCoy.

To hell with those empty 1000 yards.

If what we saw on Sunday is going to be the norm for the rest of the season, then our running game is going to be in trouble. He made no plays as a runner.

Every yard he got was whatever the line created for him. No broken tackles, no cutbacks, just run into the space that the line created then go down at first contact.

Funny what happens when you go from spot duty to starter.

But isn't the OL what most felt was all that was necessary for the running game this season?

He did break some tackles especially on that 15 yard run, he did miss some holes but for the most part he got what was available.

I will say you could see that Murray was much more in sync with the line than Randle and McFadden, but I think with reps and film study things will even out.

Well no, because now suddenly 4 ypc isn't acceptable. Now we must have more. I have a feeling the bar will get moved no matter what these RBs do. (Well unless someone is a probowler)

Hell I remember everyone bitching about Murray last year too. Thank god Randle didn't have his type of game.

I think Randle will be okay but the OL didn't run block as well as they did last season. Maybe Collins will rectify this to the extent that the second level will be handled better. Jiggy was correct about that observation.

Remember how you used to tell us how Dez was going to be a failure after we drafted him?

Good times.
Never said he would be a failure. I never denied he had talent. I didn't trust his intellect and reliability. If I was wrong on anything, I was wrong on his character.

My view on Randle is two fold, character and talent.

But carry on.
