Killer instinct and all that is bs. Someone mentioned a one on one game and that comes down to nothing but a matchup. There's nobody for for Lebron to pass to so he has to shoulder the load. When he has to, he does and does it well. Add the fact that he's bigger, stronger and faster than Jordan and yes it would be lopsided.

I see...so you were just trying to squash the discussion. Props.
Basically, because I don't think who can win a game of 1 on 1 means much of anything as to who the better player is within a team concept.

This is true, but it was brought up so it was discussed. Although, one would say that Jordan played as much one on one as anyone could within the team concept.

If you replace Lebron with Jordan on that 2011 Heat team, do the Mavs still win the finals?

That article that Ace posted about Jordan is stunning by the way.
Great stuff, isn't it?

Even after all these years, he can't let go of that competitive edge. That's what took his game to another level. That's the exact reason why I think no one will ever surpass him.

For all of the the physical ability other players may have, they don't have his relentless desire to win and get the better of his opponent.

If you replace Jordan with Lebron on any of those 6 championship teams, do the Bulls still win? Probably.

I say no.

They definitely don't beat those Utah teams which Jordan had to will some victories out of his ass for.

Lebron repeating the flu game? Pffffff.

Probably not, LeBron and Pippen are too similar in their styles of play, they might not even make it past the Knicks to the Finals some of those years.

Jordan could adapt his game though and I think with an early to mid 90's Jordan the Heat would've beaten the Mavs that year.

Luckily for me, the Heat had Lebron and not Jordan.

I also find it highly amusing that despite Jordan's greatness on the court and his burning competitive spirit, he just can't build a team or identify talent to save his natural born life. That should come in handy in a few years when the Bulls get a lottery pick from the Bobcats right in the middle of Rose's peak.

That's what we were discussing in here just a few days ago.

Being a great player doesn't mean you'll be a great GM, but how can someone be so great as a player and be so bad as evaluating talent? MJ is nothing short of awful as a talent guy.

I don't think one has anything to do with the other honestly, being able to play the game physically doesn't mean you can watch players from a detached bird's eye view and project their abilities forward, or build a team in general. It's a completely different perspective and thought process.

Hopefully Lebron gets the flu so he can show how much heart he had.

I liken Lebron to Elway...he got his teams to a Super Bowl many times when they had no real business being there. Now he has help, like Elway got from Shanahan and Davis, he then won his titles.

Nuggets Part Ways With George Karl
June 6 at 10:11am CST By Luke Adams
2012/13's NBA Coach of the Year will not return to his team's bench next season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. Wojnarowski reports that the Nuggets have parted ways with George Karl, informing him this morning that he won't be retained for the final year of his contract (Twitter links).

Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne of ESPNLosAngeles.com had both reported within the last week that Karl's status in Denver was unsettled, since the team didn't seem inclined to pick up his 2014/15 option, which would have left him on an expiring deal next season. According to Wojnarowski (via Twitter), Karl had been pushing for a contract extension, and team ownership wasn't prepared to give him one.

The move is the latest in an incredibly busy offseason for head coaching turnover. 11 NBA teams have now parted ways with the head coach with whom they finished the season, and there could be more changes on the way, including Lionel Hollins in Memphis. Karl had been the third-longest-tenured coach in the NBA, behind only Gregg Popovich and Doc Rivers.

With Karl out of the picture and Masai Ujiri now running the Raptors, the Nuggets will be in the market for both a new coach and general manager in the coming weeks. Wojnarowski tweets that the Nuggets believe they can attract an elite coach, given their roster, and that they preferred to take that chance rather than moving forward with an unhappy Karl.

As for Karl, Chris Mannix of SI.com rightly points out (via Twitter) that his presence on the market figures to change the thinking of some teams still searching for a new head coach. Based on the fact that he had been seeking an extension with the Nuggets, it appears Karl still wants to keep coaching. We've already heard his name linked to the Clippers' search and Grantland's Zach Lowe (Twitter link) wouldn't be surprised if the Sixers called him as well. ESPN.com's Marc Stein reports (via Twitter) that the Grizzlies also intend to reach out to Karl.

Still, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer cautions (via Twitter) not to rule out the possibility of Karl sitting out the season or coaching overseas, given how much he enjoyed his previous experience in Europe. Personally, I'd think the former is more likely than the latter.

Wow...this is a shocker to me. He seemed like a perfect fit there. I wonder if he ends up with the Clippers?

Yea but LeBron got them there once in nearly 10 years.

That's true.

Cleveland also went from 61 to 19 wins the year after he left, so that shows how important he was to that team.

Of course, that team was horrendous aside from him, for the most part.
