The title is terrible though...the posters said Live. Die. Repeat. That should have been the title of the movie. He just came off of Oblivion, which was decent enough, but I think people were kind of tired of Cruise in the sci-fi type movie. The movie was smart, the action was excellent...and he and Blunt were excellent together.

He is right up there as far as my favorite actor goes...and you are right about the charisma. He puts everything into his roles as well...you see guys like Willis doing a money grab and sleepwalk through a role, but not Cruise. The MI franchise was one I did not see coming, but outside of the 2nd one, they have all been excellent. MI3 was flatout greatness.
They changed the title when it was coming out on dvd. Let's not kid ourselves, Live. Die. Repeat. is a pretty shitty title as well. I have it on the dvr and will watch soon, but it is amazing that a studio could bungle the marketing and title on what is a pretty great movie according to most people.

Edge of Tomorrow sounds like a freaking love story. It is based on a Japanese comic name All You Need is Kill...that sucks too.

I almost said "The man has more charisma that most even when he isn't trying - and he's always trying", but thought it might come out a little over the top. But it is true. I can't think of a time when it felt like he was phoning one in for a paycheck

I hope for the guy to get an Oscar one day. He has been nominated 3 times...although I think his best acting job was in Collateral...and he was not nominated. He'll have to do something different...maybe he needs to hook up with Scorcese or Russell.

That movie will go down as one of the worst marketing mistakes in Hollywood history. All the titles sucked and the trailors didn't really give you an idea as to what was going on.

But it was a good movie.

I wouldn't say it was "great" but it was classically decent.

I only have watched the first one. Tried to watch the other ones, couldn't ever finish either one.

3 and 4 are both excellent. MI3 is my favorite one...he is just his ass kicked all over the place by Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

Spider-Man is officially part of the Marvel movie universe.
New stand alone movie in 2017, probably will be in Civil War.

Glad he is a part of the universe, but Sony still owns the rights...after this last couple of terrible movies I hope they let Disney/Marvel make all the decisions.

Agreed. Spider-Man 2 was awful. And Marvel agreed to let that idiot from Sony, Amy Pascal, co produce with Marvels main guy, Kevin Fiege. Fiege has a rep as a dictator so hopefully he is the dominant part of the duo.

One of the cooler things about this is that Norman Osborne will now be a part of the Marvel universe...he can be a real big dark cloud over quite a bit.

The most important thing is that Avi Arad's name was nowhere in the press release. The less he has to do with this the better. And since he refuses to work with Feige I'm hopeful that means he is out.

Has it been confirmed if any other Spider-Man characters will be involved? I know they specifically mentioned MCU characters showing up in Spider-Man. I hope you are right though.

Now we just need someone to convince Fox to share\give up the rights to the Fantastic Four. They do alright with X-Men, although if Hugh Jackman wanted to show up from time to time to growl at Hulk I'd be cool with that

Saw some stuff where FF4 and X Men are going to group together.

I like them all being under the same umbrella, but I also think it would be too busy trying to involve everyone. They did a good job in Avengers, but they keep adding people now.

Also...not all that into Spiderman being a part of The Avengers...he is better off on his own adventures.

He is, no doubt, but how do you bring him in? Maybe they can link Tony Stark to his father or some shit. Just no Aunt Mae...Jesus Christmas, I have seen enough of that shit. I might shoot Uncle Ben if they do it again.
