It's not about what kind of year Romo had.

It's about getting the ball into the hands of your superstars. It's no different than Young/Montana trying to get it to Rice or Brady trying to get it to Moss.

Plus it wasn't like he was throwing into double coverage.
It was a terrible misread. You can try to justify it all you want, but it was. There is no denying it with the pic above right in your face.

:lol

Oh my god, you are such a whiny little baby when it comes to Romo.

No one is criticizing him for it, it's just the truth. If you go back and look at the vast majority of his bad picks or turnover on downs incomplete passes, almost all end in him overlooking the underneath guy who's open in favor of throwing down the field.

Sorry to hurt your feelings, but it's the truth. And if you go back through the gameday thread and look, you'll find that as the catch was being reviewed, quite a few of us did not like the call even when we thought the play would stand.

We do that far too often when it isn't necessary.
You're a finger pointing little girl when we lose. You always wanna point fingers at certain players for some of the dumbest reasons.

:rofl

Dude, nobody is pointing fingers.

Romo isn't the reason we lost, but no matter how much you ask for everyone to leave your hero alone, you can't deny that he misread that play.

He misread it and has done so plenty of times before. This is a fact you have to live with whether you like it or not.

No one is blaming Romo for the loss, so take your tampon out and stop crying.

Good grief...we have wanted Romo to throw the ball up and let Dez go get it...he did that...and now people are bitching about it?

I saw it as a pretty great read...your best playmaker, one on one, I take that every time.

Beasley in one on one coverage or Dez in one on one coverage and people are upset that Romo choose Dez? :lol For all we know Dez was his first read

Well, if he hadn't had a wide open WR underneath there wouldn't be any bitching. But the pic above is proof positive that Romo had his mind made up presnap. I'd say that's something to bitch about.

Dez was blanketed and Beasley was wide open. It's a legit gripe.

First read was Dez and he had the one on one with no S help over the top, the right call was taking it.

Had the S been doubling Dez you turn to your other reads, prob. Beastly, but Romo made the right call. A QB doesn't go through all his reads and then come back to the one he thinks is the best, he goes in order and the first one that looks good you take it.

It's not a huge issue for me, but he's got to hit Beasley there.

He's got a history of that too which is why it's a bit worrisome, but that in no way cost us the game so it's not a big deal. Just pointing out that he should have hit the open man and kept the drive alive.

On the one frame that Romo already has hi arm cocked and ready to throw, Beasley is wide open. Why would a DB stay on a WR when they can see the QB is passing it elsewhere?

I don't have a problem with the play from Romo's standpoint, but it's not that easy. On any normal play, sure go for it. When it's 4th and 2 on your game winning drive in the playoffs, you need to be damn sure you make the right read. I don't remember the other parts of the play and if Beasley was open or not, but if he was than it should have been something Romo had seen. I'd take the 4 yards from Beasley and a 1st than a one on one jump ball to Dez anytime in that scenario.

Dez one on one with anyone is wide open. Of course his mind was made up pre-snap, Dez had single coverage with no safety help prior to the snap.

Amazing hindsight here...had the Dez catch held up you'd all be fellating Romo...now BAD READ!!! Pathetic.

I take the first down over a jump ball on 4th and 2. So, maybe my gripe is with the coaches and the playcall rather than Romo.

If the Ref doesn't screw up the call, this is a non-issue.

That's what I'm having a hard time with.

It was a bad read. Even if Dez had caught it. It was 4th and frickin' 2. Pathetic.
