I don't know if I'd call it a middle round project. I'm talking more 2nd/3rd round Russel Wilson type pick. I just don't see many guys in this up coming draft that I think fit that description. Probably best to wait one more year to do that.

Looks to me like he made the catch was contacted then his knee was down before the ball came out. Down by contact. I think Bryants catch was the same way. Caught the ball took three steps was contacted then his elbow touched before the ball came out.

Problem is that Bryant didn't make a 'football move' to demonstrate possession. Josh Cribbs, who didn't take a single step, and held the ball less time, somehow did make a 'football move' to demonstrate possession and got the benefit of being down by contact.

I dont know how you can say that. Hanging and holding on to the ball is hardly a symptom of running scared. If he was scared he would throw it away.

I thought moving toward the goal line was a football move. I think that term needs amplified more.

That's the other issue. In the last 10 years you can count on 1 hand the number of franchise caliber QB's to enter the league. Rodgers, Luck, Roethlisberger...then maybe Russell Wilson. Eli has been up and down and his success can be largely attributed to a run game and great pass rush in the 2 SB runs. And starting next year, Ben and Eli will be in their 11th seasons.
Not much talent at QB coming out of college the last decade.

I can't find the replay anywhere; does anyone have the explanation from the on field official as to why the Bryant catch was overturned. If there is a video of the explanation, I'd like to see it.
