Not to mention we sign Garrett to a deal only to find that it was Linehan all along that made him look good.
We knew that all year. Garrett had since '07 to prove himself and he has sucked until we brought in a qualified play caller. I was shocked by how well we played this year but inevitably figured it'd come to an end not by us just getting beat by a better team but by use shatting away opportunity after opportunity....and sure enough.

We won't lose Linehan, marinelli will hurt. Fuck Murray.
Ayuh. That fumble was huge.

Three biggest plays of the game, IMO.

1. The Dez non-catch
2. Packers recovery of Cobb's fumble.
3. Murray's fumble.

The shitty thing is I actually think Bryant took 3 steps.

Which means that football move rule should be out the window.
Is that factoring in the ball being briefly knocked loose by the DB? I think that was a huge part of the eventual final call.

Might be semantics here, but...Ball moved, yes, but wasn't knocked loose.

You can't keep a football from moving, even if you're just running it all by your lonesome...but a ball moving doesn't mean it's loose and you don't have possession of it.

I'd flip the order with Murray's fumble being most important.

Hey, its really OK. We all know Seattle would have beat the shit out of us. No way in hell we go in there and win again twice in one season. No fucking way.

Losing like this kind of makes you feel helpless. Like no matter what you do the NFL will find a way to rob you.
I don't know if I feel like we were "robbed." I mean, I don't think it was a good call or even the right call. But it's that ref's interpretation of a horrible rule.

I feel worse and kinda hopeless because this team needs to be good enough to have ten point cushions to win 3-4 of these playoff games in a row. If every game is a nail biter, you are gonna come up on the losing end of those calls before you can win 4 close games in a row. They won't all go your way.

This team isnt a Seattle who can 1) be up by 14 in the fourth quarter, or, relatedly, 2) be the #1 seed to get the benefit of facing a 7-8-1 team and getting a free pass to the championship game.

Those are the edges you need. To get those edges, we need to be better. Part of it was shitty luck this year with 3 NFC teams finishing 12-4. But better plan on being 12-4 next year too. Do that and fortune may favor us with a bye, an easy path to the championship game, and then the ONE call we need to get to the Super Bowl.

Possibly. Scandrick has never had great ball skills. But he's the perfect CB in my book. 5th round pick, contract is a very reasonable $27 million or something (compared to Carr at twice that).
He may not have picked it, but it was a wounded throw and at minimum it was an easy deflection/defense. I still can't believe he didn't turn around. You just can't have shit like that if you're going to beat the best teams with everything on the line.

8 point lead and a chance to recover inside the Packers 25. Would've been huge but we failed to recover then let them convert a 3rd and 15 for a TD. Other than our one TD drive in the 2nd half we barely made a play from the :40 mark of the 2nd quarter til the end of the game. Just shat away every opportunity.

Yeah, it didn't come down to the the incomplete pass call near the end. We had multiple chances to take control, shut them down and we didn't. Murray's fumble is the primary game changer because that eliminated a likely TD and swung momentum firmly in their favor.

Or the mentality and intelligence. Running the ball all game and pass on 3rd and 1 in the final minute before halftime. Romo apparently not aware safely throwing the ball away is better than a sack. And even though it almost worked out, passing deep on 4th and 2 with the season on the line. We're too damn stupid to win and advance deep into the playoffs with our brainiac's at QB and coaching staff.
I like how you expect people to buy this after we just watch New England pass their way to a win yesterday against a much better defense.

STFU. Maybe the dumbest post you've had in 2 weeks...and that's really saying something.

Last time ine we went there, we didn't just win. We physically beat the shit out of them. Knocked Wagner out and ran it down their throat while their offense looked completely out of sorts. They know they didn't want us again.

To be fair, Romo KILL KILL KILLed the 3rd and 1. It may have been a run.

I also wonder if he was supposed to go for something underneath on the 4th and 2 and chose to bomb it instead.

If the front office give that fumbling cunt Murray a huge contact then fuck them.

Let him go and take his team rushing record with him out the fucking door along with his fucking fumbles

Fucking cunt.

The 3rd and 1 shotgun play at the end of the half was huge too.

Instead of 17 or even 21-7, it's 14-10.

They absolutely have to stop going shotgun or empty backfield in situations where it's either a running down or when the running game is going well. We are making the defense's job easier for no damn reason at all.

I forgot about the fumble on the kickoff after we scored. We were so close to recovering that.

Since the end of the first half there were quite a few plays that had to go Green Bays way for them to win this game and 99.9% went their way. We didn't make a play.

The 3rd and 1 at end of first half

The missed FG

Rodgers throw on their last possession of first half.

Their FG

3rd and 15 and they score a TD

DeMarco with a ton of room ahead and fumbles

The fumble we didn't recover on kickoff

Dez play

Last 3rd down play of game

I probably missed a few.

Too many missed tackles and no pass rush. Felt like we were in control most of the game. This sucks.

It was still stupid to line up in shotgun there.
