I think I'm with Booze I'd rather we had suffered a beatdown than this shit...it's like that call just left a really bad taste in my mouth
Losing like this kind of makes you feel helpless. Like no matter what you do the NFL will find a way to rob you.

Give it a break. You can see it hit the ground and the ball slide up to his shoulder pads.

Pierra said the number of steps doesn't matter...
I heard him say that but I don't buy that either.

So if a player catches a ball off-balanced but manages to stumble 10 steps forward while maintaining possession before hitting the ground and the ball bobbles a bit, is that an incompletion?

He caught the ball. Had full possession. And took 10 steps while maintaining possession.

I'd say that would be a catch.

The Murray fumble, the missed FGs at the end of the half, the missed tackles on the TDs by the Packers. Just too many mistakes that the Packers did not make down the stretch.
If you can stomach it, go back and watch the last play on third and long when Rodgers' pass was tipped at the line. That was the biggest play of the game. The pass was tipped and drifting short and Cobb was not in a position to come back to it. Scandrick never looked back for the ball. If he turned around early enough, he would have seen the ball drifting right to him. It should have been a pick six if played correctly.

Got nothing to do with clutch or lack thereof.

We just don't have the resources to consistent stop a team like this.
Or the mentality and intelligence. Running the ball all game and pass on 3rd and 1 in the final minute before halftime. Romo apparently not aware safely throwing the ball away is better than a sack. And even though it almost worked out, passing deep on 4th and 2 with the season on the line. We're too damn stupid to win and advance deep into the playoffs with our brainiac's at QB and coaching staff.

I like Murray but I agree. Put a good back behind this line and a good back will put up great numbers. Build the defense, keep the O-line together and keep Dez at all costs. It's a pretty simple off season if you ask me. I'd also look for someone to back up Romo because god knows the way he holds the ball all day long he is going to get hurt again.
Bingo. There is sustainable light at the end of the tunnel if you approach this offseason the right way.

Trade 3 picks for a CB and blow all your FA dollars on a safety, and that's a different matter.

We didn't get robbed.

We got screwed by the right call on a stupid rule. It's the tuck rule all over again.

Of course it wasn't a catch, silly. Steratore said so. He knows.

If Murray is a 100-yard back, I'd prefer a 80-yard back that doesn't fumble.

Furthermore, this team is still a passing offense and don't need to break the bank on resigning Murray. Sure, we used to the run more this year, but it was only to better setup our pass.

I've rarely ever felt like we used our running game to take over a game.

I would get not calling it a catch on review but how do you overturn it? Calls aren't supposed to be reversed if there is any room for reasonable doubt. There seems to be plenty of reasonable doubt about that call.
Live I thought it was incomplete, largely from that shot of the ball popping back up when he hit the ground. But once they called it complete, I didn't think there was enough evidence to overturn the call.

Had it wrong on both counts, I guess.

Possibly. Scandrick has never had great ball skills. But he's the perfect CB in my book. 5th round pick, contract is a very reasonable $27 million or something (compared to Carr at twice that).

Still trying to get this.

So.

The ball never touches the ground.

And it is incomplete?

Help me out here, because I am really fucking struggling here.
It didn't touch the ground? I've been so focused on it bouncing loose that I can't remember one way or the other. Any high quality GIFs yet?
