It was time to get our 13 year old a laptop so we got her one for Christmas. Our 10 year old wanted one too but she really doesn't need it yet, but we needed a "wow" kind of gift since her sister was getting a laptop. All we have as far a video game systems go is a Wii and the girls have kind of lost interest in it. The 10 year old plays Xbox 360 at her friends' house so we got her one of those. We got her Minecraft because that seems to still be quite the rage with kids around her age and she has been talking about it.
Anyone have other suggestions for Xbox games for younger kids?

According to my son, both Playstation and Xbox servers got hacked. I have not verified this information, though, so take it for what it's worth.

Xbox and PlayStation resuming service after attack
Microsoft and Sony have been working to restore internet platforms for their Xbox and PlayStation games consoles.
Attacks disabled the online services on Christmas Day, making it difficult for users to log on.
The Xbox Live status page suggested on Saturday that Microsoft services had been restored. PlayStation said it was getting to grips with the issue and thanked users for their patience.
A hacking group called Lizard Squad claimed to have caused the problems.
The name is the same used by a group of hackers that has targeted Sony in the past.
Microsoft's Xbox Live has 48 million subscribers and Sony's PlayStation system has more than double that number, at about 110 million users.
In a tweet posted on Saturday morning, PlayStation said: "Update: PS4, PS3, and Vita network services are gradually coming back online - thanks for your patience."
A later statement said: "We are seeing reduced reports of network issues. We'll continue to monitor."
'Member Two'
A hacker claiming to be from Lizard Squad - a 22-year-old calling himself Member Two - said it had hacked the sites "because we can".
He also suggested the motive was to demonstrate weaknesses in the two companies systems.
"It's just such a huge company Microsoft... Do you not think they should be able to prevent such an attack?" he told BBC Radio 5live.
"Is Christmas really about children playing with their new consoles, or playing with their new toys, or is it about them spending time with their families and celebrating Christmas?" he added.
"I think everyone's just taking it all out of the ordinary."

I picked up NCAA 14 recently abs I would suggest that those of you who we're considering getting a copy to do it now.
Because this could be the last licensed college football game for a very long time, if not ever, the price for this 16 month old game is still 60 bucks. I bought it used at GameStop for 40, but I'm gonna guess that this game is gonna become a collectors item and only increase in price as time goes on.
I think I'm gonna take on Michigan and rebuild this program into a dynasty.

Incredible game that makes you feel a part of it.
I fucking hate EA, but I have to hand it to the Bioware team. They hit a tape measure shot with this one.

Bioware games are the only EA games I will buy - except when my daughter begs for the The Sims. I don't know why no one else will rip that game off

No PS4 for me yet. I might take the plunge over the summer though. Are the early games up to snuff yet?

Yup.
There's a good selection of games and the most recent Madden was the first game that I honestly felt made some strides in a long time.
