You would have been wrong almost the entire time. One could say he's had a iffy performance as a defensive end. As the last few years in that position he's faded. But his track record as an outside linebacker is pristine. Pffff....I never argued that he wasn't a great talent, I always maintained that he disappeared in big games and crunch moments, which he did.
See games mentioned in post above. (2005 Panthers, 2006 Lions, 2008 2nd Giants game, 2009 Saints.) There are a dozen more examples too, those are just the most apparent. The guy showed up for big games, you're asking too many instances to be called exceptions otherwise.
