We've had some epic choke jobs in the Romo era.....some of the most inexplicable ones I've ever seen. But if we lose this game, those past chokes wouldn't even compare to this.

Even if we hold on, whatever positive feelings we had are completely gone.

Pathetic.
Yep. The win doesn't even feel good anymore.

Glad we won but I was hoping for a decent showing instead of that crap-fest.

It's still a blowout win and our team is going to have a winning record this season. Considering you thought we could be a 3 win team to start the season, I'll take the win.
This team is not good enough to compete in the playoffs but if they beat Washington in week 17 & finish 10-6 I'm good with it. I expected another 8-8 season at best.

Blowout win?

How do you figure? Did you not see that we won by 13? Or that our defense got shredded at will in that entire 4th quarter?

That was not a blowout win.

I would have been fine with it if not for that 4th quarter near collapse. That was like watching a Campo team

Eh, it was an awesome showing until we packed it in in the fourth quarter. You guys are like women on their periods.

Lookit, this team is what it is. I have no illusions about this defense, but a win is a win. I'll take it.

Honestly, I agree. We're still not a very good team but at least we suck a little less than last year.

It took recovering an onside kick, some bullshit penalties, and they still only got it to 13. We still dominated the game. You can't take a whole lot from what happens when a defense goes into prevent mode.

Well, this defense is going to get shredded again by the Eagles next Sunday. Better hope they can hold them to a few field goals and the offense plays like they did from the 2nd quarter on tonight.

You think what happened to our defense was a result of being in prevent? :lol

What happened there is that the defense just remembered it was a piece of shit unit like it's been all year.

That is why I'm actually pulling for Philly to beat Seattle because there is damn way this team can beat Philly, and there's no way they then turn around and beat the Colts and Redskins and get to 12-4......not with an awful defense like this.

Because of that, I think they have a better chance of getting in as a wild card, and in order for that to happen, we need the Seahawks, 49ers, Lions, etc. to lose as many games as possible. So this Sunday, I'm hoping Philly beats Seattle.

Defense was taking way too many plays off in the fourth quarter. I saw a number of guys taking their sweet time lining up while the Bears were running a hurry up. It's why Scandrick was so pissed off.

Nah we had guys walking around, taking their sweet time lining up for plays. We had a big lead and the defensive players let off the gas.

I'm still trying to understand why on earth that brain dead moron Garrett was thinking when he ran an unnecessary play at the end, and to DeMarco Murray no less.

Imagine if he had gotten hurt there.

Garrett acts sometimes as if he's coaching a foreign sport that he's never seen before.

By your theory, then the defense should have been able to stop them whenever they felt like it. And once the game got too close for comfort, they should have just shut them down, right? But that didn't happen, did it?

The Bears marched up and down the field at will, and it wasn't because of some bullshit prevent defense either.

I expected 6 wins, so I'll be totally fine with 10-6 even if they don't win a game in the playoffs. With that said, I wouldn't consider this season a success unless they make the playoffs. The reason for that is because I think just making the playoffs would be a nice step and some valuable experience for the young players like Dez, Murray, the O-line, etc. I don't want them to get used to all the mediocrity that most of the Romo era Cowboys got used to.

If we don't make the playoffs, then I don't really think there is anything these players can take from this season.

If we can get these guys some playoff experience early in their careers, it could help to shape a new mentality for the team going forward, which would be great because I think they're already trying to do that with all the new faces.

Just get to the playoffs, and I'm happy with 2014.

It's not a theory. Were you watching the game? It was pretty obvious. By your theory our defense shutting them down for 3 quarters was pure luck and it's a total coincidence that they scored all their points in the fourth quarter once we were up by 4 TDs and they started going for it on fourth downs and going for onsides kicks.
