That would be a perfect coach for them, but Bielema came out and said he is staying at Ark.Per footballscoop Nebraska is pushing hard for Bielema.

Yup. It has been said before though...That would be a perfect coach for them, but Bielema came out and said he is staying at Ark.
I expect Arkansas to make a jump next year. I think he has really built a solid foundation at that school. That would be a perfect coach for them, but Bielema came out and said he is staying at Ark.
No doubt. They have the potential to make an impact next year.I expect Arkansas to make a jump next year. I think he has really built a solid foundation at that school.
Weren't you the one that called them shitty like 2 weeks ago?I expect Arkansas to make a jump next year. I think he has really built a solid foundation at that school.
Scott Frost, their ex-QB? Uhh...okay.I still think Scott Frost gets the job, but maybe they knew they could get him before they let go of Pelini.
Yeah, this year they where a shitty team. Doesn't mean I don't like the direction they are headed.Weren't you the one that called them shitty like 2 weeks ago?
He is the Oregon OC, so he is rising.Scott Frost, their ex-QB? Uhh...okay.
Sad that a proud program is going that route. Sounds like an NFL team hiring their sucky QB as a head coach because it reminds them of the glory days. That is just so desperate and sad.
Wait...
Hard not to succeed as an OC when you take over that kind of machine. Does he at least call plays? He is the Oregon OC, so he is rising.
No idea...I'd guess not, but I don't know. I know the locals would be happy, but I know quite a few old timers are hoping Tressel ends up getting the job. Schiano is too much like Pelini...they want a friendlier face running the program.Hard not to succeed as an OC when you take over that kind of machine. Does he at least call plays?
@YahooForde: Y sources: Florida in latter stages of finalizing deal to make Jim McElwain next football coach
Geez, not exactly shooting for the moon.
I wonder what number they agreed on. UF isn't one to pay big money for buyouts and his previous number was $7.5M.
A hire that I just don't see making much sense for a program of Florida's stature.
We'll see. I would be underwhelmed if I were a UF fan, but that's mostly cause they zeroed in on him so quickly. I would have expected them to go after bigger names first.A hire that I just don't see making much sense for a program of Florida's stature.
I would have expected a little more sustained success out of a coach for Florida. I mean the guy has basically had one good season under his belt. If Colorado State had 2 or 3 seasons like this one my tune may be a little different. But the guy had 1 good season in the MWC.We'll see. But he has Saban influences and he has Colorado St playing very well this year.
It's more than Muschamp and Zook had both accomplished by the time they got the job and it's not a lot less than Meyer had. He did it at 2 schools, but he never did it with his own recruits since he bolted from both Bowling Green and Utah so quickly.I would have expected a little more sustained success out of a coach for Florida. But every stop Meyer had his teams were great. And they were great for both season's he was at both stops. The year before he got to Utah, they were terrible and then immediately they jumped to 10-2. Meyer was a guy with great schemes that could coach up talent. He wasn't necessarily a proven recruiter but at a school like Florida or Ohio State I don't know that it matters much. It's more than Muschamp and Zook had both accomplished by the time they got the job and it's not a lot less than Meyer had.
