Also, Charlie Strong is showing people why he deserves to be given all the time he needs with this job.

This defense is leaps and bounds better than last year, and we've been competitive in games that most thought we'd get destroyed in. If we had a decent QB, we'd have 2 or maybe 3 more wins.

If these good ol' boys let him do what he needs to, he's going to bring us back to prominence.

If they are ranking these teams fairly, and chances are they are not, then Auburn should fall all the way down to 9 or 10 because they just lost at home to an unranked team who looked like pure shit coming into this game.

If there is no SEC bias, then Auburn should be a 9 or 10th ranked team at best after tonight.

Notre Dame has 2 losses as well, but both are on the road with one coming against the defending champs on the final play of the game, and on the road at the 9th ranked Wildcats.

Yea, but when you lose shouldn't matter.

If you lose to an unranked team in week 1 or week 9, it should count all the same. I never understood why it mattered when you lost in college football....it's stupid.

They deserve to be laughed at, that was an abysmal performance overall. I took our dog out around the block early when it was 3-3, came back and it was 17-3. I was like, WTF?! That first half, I basically just cursed and drank beer but I have to give credit to ASU though, took advantage of almost every opportunity all afternoon. ND is also a very young team, something like 20 out of 22 players are freshman or sophomores and they're missing quite a few guys that were starters or expected to be. The guy that lined up the defense went down and there was a freshman in his place. He looked like one too.

This loss is all on Golson. He's short(6' my ass) and a couple of the picks were off deflections where his height was probably a liability but the rest were on him or just good plays. He's had 17 freaking turnovers in the last 5 games, he's kind of the ND version of Romo. Escapability, when he's good, he's really good and when he's off he's really off. If he could take better care of the ball and cut the turnovers out, some NFL team might take a flier on him but marginal size and a turnover machine? Uh-uh.

Hell of a rally to get back within 3 after being down 31 though, if they had pulled it off it would have been the second biggest comeback in FBS/Div. l history.

He's got the talent and the arm but he's short, makes bad decisions, he's too loose with the ball and no, I don't want him anywhere near the Cowboys even if he cleans up his act because I don't like undersized QBs to begin with. Some people compare him to Russell Wilson physically but Wilson has some mass to him, Golson would get killed in the pros.

He kind of reminds me of Woody Dantzler because he would be a guy with some athletic talent but he would struggle to find a position in the NFL. I could see him as a slot receiver if I knew he could catch a pass but he probably goes undrafted. Nobody would draft him as a QB with his turnover issues. That's why I said someone might take a flier on him if he cleaned up the turnovers.

The Irish players I would keep an eye on long term on defense are Jaylon Smith, Max Redfield, Cole Luke, Jarron Jones and Sheldon Day, then Will Fuller, Tarean Folston and Corey Robinson on offense. Robinson would be a Keyshawn-like possession guy. There's talk of Davaris Daniels coming back next year but he reminds me of Antonio Bryant. All the talent you could want but inconsistent and takes plays off.

I don't believe in taking fliers on players. No draft pick should ever be wasted on a project.

Robinson has route and concentration issues, but he's young. He was running some really lazy routes on Saturday and dropped a few easy balls.
