Norton was doing perfectly fine, right up to "unless, and until ... "

So what exactly is she saying? So the NFL can keep its greedy (her words) and unfair tax break as long as it dumps the Redskins' nickname?
Exactly.

That tax break should have been gone long ago. But to try and use it to extort a name change is retarded.

Maybe congress should spend their time and energy on something other than what a fucking football team's nickname is.

They needed something new to preoccupy their time once PEDs in baseball became boring.

I thought the Hershel Walker trade thread was pretty funny. The finally admitted their lack of talent.
What did the Walker trade have to do with the conversation?

Some guy was trying to set the record straight on what the trade was. I don't really know the back story but evidently some people were bringing that up. I guess they think it could turn then team around. Eventually some admitted that they didn't have the talent (a Hershal Walker) to trade.

I don't read the site but was looking for info on which Tight End was going to play. My opponent had both and I was down by 11. I had Percy Harvin so you can imagine what happened.

Redskins coach Jay Gruden won't close door on Colt McCoy
October, 15, 2014

By John Keim | ESPN.com

ASHBURN, Va. -- Two days ago Jay Gruden said there would be changes made, whether to scheme or practices and maybe even personnel. One change he wouldn’t make: Inserting Colt McCoy at quarterback.

However, on Wednesday, Gruden said there was a chance McCoy could see action -- if things don’t improve with current starter Kirk Cousins. Gruden didn’t think it would get to that point, but he also knows he can’t dismiss any idea at this point.

“He is facing quite a bit of scrutiny and obviously if things continue in this downward spiral, there is always a chance to see Colt,” Gruden said. “But I think Kirk will play himself out of it. I have total faith that he will and we are going to coach him like he will and he will be ready. But I know Colt will be ready also.”

Cousins threw three fourth-quarter interceptions in Sunday’s 30-20 loss to Arizona. He’s now 1-7 as a starter and owns a passer rating of 58.6 in the fourth quarter of his last eight games.

But Gruden said he still sees areas he can build upon with Cousins.

“Kirk’s done some good things,” Gruden said. “There are some catastrophic mistakes that have been made by all of us in the fourth quarter. Third downs, turnovers are a very, very direct reflection on play calling and the quarterback position. Sometimes both get a little bit blamed too much. It might be the protection, might be the route, might be blocking by the receiver, but it’s up to the quarterback to convert these. It’s up to us as a team to get these converted and not turn the ball over.”

Cousins still has an 89 QB rating on the year. I'm not a big Jay Gruden fan though and I don't think Cousin's is a superstar QB either. He needs to be in more of a bus driver capacity and instead the Redskins need him to basically carry the team. Their stud RB is only averaging 4 YPC and their defense is getting shredded. Not much of a supporting cast.

As long as we kick the living shit out of Washington when we play them, I don't give a flying fuck who their QB is.

Sounds good to me.

That guy sucks and I look forward to watching him throw a few picks against us.

I would say we would get embarrassed but not sure that's possible anymore

This Redskins Team sucks and we are going to get the living **** kicked out of us on national TV.

This game I feel very similar to the Giants.

They don't have the personnel to beat us outright at the moment, but I suspect they will give us their best shot, meaning it will be closer than you think. And if we make enough mistakes on our own, we could be sweating it.

The skins fans sound like the DCC posters before the Saints and Seahawks games and you know what happened then. :unsure

The Redskins are not as good as the Giants. No question about that in my mind. The wild card of course is that the Skins are a divisional rival so their players will definitely give us all they can. The Redskins just won't roll over in this type of a game and I think that's why it won't be ugly. If we take care of business it should be a win though. We are just a far more talented team. This is the type of game that if we are able to get a win, that's all that matters to me. I'm not concerned about style points when playing a team like the Redskins.

Not all DCC posters. :)

Washington has talent on their roster but there are a lot of matchups where Dallas just pwns them.

The one weakness the Cowboys have is a lack of team speed, so I can see Garcon blowing up or their defense swarming Murray. Turnovers are their best chance to win, maybe they confuse Romo or Dallas comes out flat and unmotivated and it's a Murray fumble-fest.

On a roll, healthy, Washington reeling at QB, Orakpo done (again)... hard to see this as anything other than a two TD Dallas victory.

Washington fans chant for Colt McCoy
Posted by Mike Florio on November 16, 2014, 3:47 PM EST

Washington had two weeks to get ready for the one-win Bucs. And Washington is losing by 20.

The fans don’t like it. And they don’t like the starting quarterback, Robert Griffin III. Per multiple Twitter accounts of members of the media attending the game, the fans are clamoring for backup Colt McCoy.

“We want Colt” is the chant, and for good reason. Griffin has been mediocre at best, completing 19 of 27 passes for 185 yards and two interceptions. Griffin has been sacked six times.

On a fourth-quarter bubble screen to receiver DeSean Jackson, Griffin made a one-step drop — and then threw the ball into the dirt in front of Jackson. (No worms were harmed in the filming of this highlight.)

McCoy beat the Titans after coming off the bench and then upended the Cowboys. Griffin returned the following Sunday, losing to the Vikings and now getting drubbed by the Bucs.

I said from the start that I didn't think Griffin would have a successful NFL career because of his style of play. It invites injury and he got by in college with instincts rather than learning to read defenses. Couple that with an inadequate time in college to learn the game you have a constant train wreck waiting to happen. Instinctive games wont fly in the NFL.
