In a small sample size though he is over 6 a carry. Trust me, I always want a better player, but Randle is not terrible.
Mediocre and average is what he is. Because he can't do much on his own. He can do exactly what he is given and not much more. We can keep him and look forward to him starting as soon as Murray gets hurt. That is basically the same formula that we have been following for years and losing with.

Considering you directly quoted Carp's post, and used the same word he did in response, I have no choice but to declare you the loser in this exchange.

Stay down, fakemexnatch.!!

OK. At this point he is not hurting the team and is productive when he gets a chance. Not understanding the dislike, but if we had a better option I'd certainly support the player.

They have to pick their moments with him. I don't think they can give him a series and remain effective.

In a game like last night, they forgot about him entirely which they can't afford to do if they want Murray to remain healthy. Problem is Randle is forgettable for a reason.

Somewhat down with this. Bottom line is we're stuck with him

The dislike goes back to the draft. I didn't think it was a good pick because he is a very average player.

Yeah, he did. He also had a history of running more when he had the weapons to do so with the Vikings. Like he does here.

But that was dismissed.
I wasn't worried about Linehan wanting to run the ball, I just didn't think Garrett would actually hand over the offense to him. Garrett clearly trusts Linehan a lot more than he trusted Callahan.

He was a 5th round pick...at that point he was good value...most had him going earlier than that. Not like we spend a 1st or 2nd on the guy.

Funny, that was my exact take after the draft in spite of his injury until I noted his 40 time and watched him play.

40 time is a bit overrated...Morris ran the same time as him as well.

Yes.

You really really really are.

I get being giddy. We have had several good wins.

But you are going overboard in assuming that there is a blueprint being followed.
It would have been implemented earlier if that we're the case.

Why wait 3 years?

His runs against the Saints actually looked pretty good. Classic case of follow the leader...

Would be really funny to see what happened if Booze decided that he suddenly liked Randle. I don't think Randle has shown us much to dislike at this point. Not saying he is special but you'd think he is a total waste of space the way some people talk.

It's because it's now Linehan's offense. The OC isn't being handicapped by having to run the crap that Garrett had drawn up.

If Randle turns out to be a gem I'd gladly change my stance.

There are very slight differences between Garrett's design and Linehan's.

I think you guys are getting a little too carried away with the Linehan anointing.

Linehan is still a Coryell style OC, he's just a better playcaller than Garrett.
