That just means you can get away with more stuff. You get the built in excuse of "that's just grandpa and he's old and a bit senile."

I've already started developing that attitude towards me. :p
That's the way it should be but this bunch shows me no mercy.

Saw Life of Crime today. It's the prequel to Jackie Brown with Mos Def and John Harkes playing the Sam Jackson and DeNiro roles as younger men. It's solid. Good cast, decent story and some funny moments.

Doesn't have the same tempo or flare that Jackie Brown had, but this isn't Tarantino either.

Huh?

So it was the characters, minus Tarantino? Sounds like the bad Dumb and Dumber prequel.

It's not bad...not like that was. But the characters were based on Leonard Elmore books and this was part of the series.

We went to see 'No Good Deed' today. I thought it was pretty good.

A nice thriller that wasn't too predictable. It even had a nice little twist towards the end that tied the plot together and caught me completely off guard.

Idris Elba did a great job. The dude knows how to play a villain, I'll give him that.

:lol

I don't see the problem with that movie. I pull those moves in Madden all the time.
It was totally gay.

Like you are going to get a team to give the picks you got from them back in trade. And who the fuck has ever traded a top ten pick for a succession of 2nd rounders?

I did enjoy the frantic, in over his head Jags GM. About the only thing in the movie that was probably realistic.

I really want to see Tusk this weekend, but it is kind of a limited release. Red State was really good and Kevin Smith seems to be on to something now with his movies.

Been meaning to check those out.

I have been looking forward to seeing The Guest for several months. I'm hoping it hits a theater in the area during its wider release on Oct 3rd.

Zoolander 2 set to return with Will Ferrell confirming role
Date
September 16, 2014

Great news for Zoolander fans – Will Ferrell has confirmed he will reprise his role as the villainous fashion designer and piano-key necktie inventor Mugatu in a sequel to the 2001 comedy.

Plans for another outing for the Ben Stiller-helmed comedy about the dim-witted, really, really, ridiculously good-looking model Derek Zoolander, have been mooted for years, but it looks like it could finally be happening.

Ferrell told joblo.com work was being done. "We are actually supposed to do a read-through of a sequel script soon, and Mugatu is a part of it."

This follows news that actor-writer-director Justin Theroux, who appeared in the original, said last month progress was being made in bringing Zoolander back to the big screen. "We've got a script for the sequel, and we've just been in talks again," he told Vulture.com. "We're trying to sharpen it and hone it and, actually, I don't want to jinx anything, but it looks like it actually might be starting to get up and running."

Theroux said he had been in the running to direct but due to scheduling commitments was having to bow out, leaving the likelihood that Stiller will take up the director's reins again.

Stiller, who developed Zoolander from a VH1 fashion awards skit, has said the sequel could see an ageing Derek and Hansel (Owen Wilson) struggling to stay relevant in the fashion world.

The film centred around Derek and Hansel, aided by "investigatory journalist" Matilda (Christine Taylor), attempting to thwart a plot by Mugatu to kill the Malaysian prime minister.

Zoolander took $US61 million at the global box office and has remained a strong cult favourite. Progress in making a sequel could be buoyed by last year's success of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, which appeared 10 years after the original and made $US175 million worldwide.

No I did not. Although all of my kids (oldest currently 27) watched it incessantly. So I know quite a bit about the show due to osmosis. It was ALWAYS on.

My HS crushes were Farrah Fawcett and Cheryl Ladd. And, yes I did have:

On the wall of my room

I bet I had blisters on my wang from fantasizing about those life size nipples in school.

Holy shit. Just read an article that said if Harrison Ford hadn't been hired as Han Solo, then the choice was Christopher Walken. :lol
