FTR...I have not watched Black Jesus, but I would have liked a shout out in the interest of racial harmony.

Namaste, bitches.

Anybody here besides me that watch Longmire?

A&E has decided to cancel their highest rated drama. The producers ate trying to shop it to other networks so all may not be lost.

That gets better ratings than Mad Men?

Every article that I have read said its their highest rated.

Wait. I may have to amend that if they break down drama in different categories. I think a few have said "crime drama".

Hey 1 Big have you watched Black Jesus.

Its McGruder's new show I watched one episode and it has a lot of potential, John Witherspoon and Charlie Murphy are hilarious.
I've been meaning to watch but I keep forgetting. I'm going to have to start DVRing it.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/09/02/the-wire-is-returning-to-hbo-in-hd

Those who either swear by HBO's The Wire or have never seen it (but have been pestered to by those who swear by it) are in luck. HBO is remastering the show for HD and bringing it back for a re-airing!

The Verge reports that no clear air date has been set, but that HBO is planning to marathon all five remastered seasons of a David Simon's Baltimore "Cops/Crooks/Schools/Politics/Journalists" masterpiece sometime in the near future.

The Wire reportedly was shot with Panavision cameras in Super 35, which means that the sides were cut off when it originally aired on TV in 4:3 SD. And a widescreen version of the series was streaming on Amazon Prime a few years back, but HBO has yet to comment on what aspect ration The Wire will have when it returns.

According to the promo below, Sept. 4th is/was the premiere date for the remastered airings, though HBO has told The Verge that the episodes "aren't ready."

Good. I tried to watch season 1 again a month ago and was surprised how poor quality it was.

The last season of The Killing was complete and utter shite. Hard to sustain quality evidently.

The last season?

You could tell it had no direction the way they ended the 1st season, I knew it was a lost cause but still wanted to find out "Who Killed Her" after that convoluted story concluded it was no way I was signing on for more.

It was a real shame because it was a waste of some great actors.

Did you see Rubicon? A good little show that lasted one season on AMC its worth a look.

Maybe this explains why I can't get into it.
Did you keep watching?

I actually just started watching it all over again a few weeks ago an I'm already halfway through season 1.

I'm 2 episodes into Penny Dreadful. Very nice so far. Eva Green is creepy as hell and the rest of the cast is money.

Showtime doesn't have history of great shows like HBO but they have a lot of quality right now.
