Confused some by this because the guy they nearly picked at No. 31 last night, Terrance Williams, is still available.

The Giants and Steelers sit there and take good players and then use them.

We always seem to be obsessed with finding players that can specialize in weird ways we want to use them or for subpackages that we want to run.

It's the backwards way to run a team.

This is beyond Alzheimers, there's some twisted notion in what passes for Jones' brain that he's going to find some obscure gem of a player no one else was expecting. Every year they build this shit draft board that runs counter to everything published.

Frederick and Escobar are fine players and absolutely will contribute, but this is what happens when an owner and HC/OC get together and plot a draft. BPA... as long as they can start day 1... on the offense.

Conventional NFL logic is that you use those early round picks on players who you hope will start within a year or two.
