I was both extremely confused and extremely intrigued. Gave me plenty of reason to keep watching episodes.
Ya...and that's pretty much what we should've expected from Damon Lindelof. I just hope he has an ending in mind since HBO isn't one to give out a ton of seasons unless you're an alltimer hit.

Finished up Hannibal on the dvr.

Um, that show is a fucking masterpiece for network TV.

Fortunately, somehow it is very inexpensive for NBC and it was renewed for a third season despite shitty ratings.

Mads Mikkelsen is better than Hopkins IMO.
Ugh. Watching it weekly has been much worse.

The shit gets too full of itself and starts padding with all the stag dream sequences and barely audible stuffy dialogue. It needs to do a much better job of getting to the point. Most episodes bore you to tears to the point you want to give up on it only to be jolted back the next week with some (unfortunately brief) moment of greatness.

Favorites: Game of Thrones (flat out pwns everything else), Walking Dead, DaVinci's Demons, BBT

Sentimental Likes/Or Guilty Pleasures: Supernatural, Banshee

Passes the Time/Still Has it: Hunted, 24

Looking Forward to: Gotham

Stubbornly sticking with despite years of descent into retardation: Tru Blood

Want to watch but haven't gotten around to renting: Breaking Bad, Mad Men

You bash Hannibal, yet admit to watching stuff like Supernatural.

:lol

Don't know about you, but for whatever reason, I tend to give HBO shows one season more than shows on other stations.
Same here. But with True Blood I should've stopped 2 seasons ago, yet here I am. When I've already invested so much, I want to see it to the end. Helps that there's really nothing else on right now.

The first five seasons were greatness, then it remained consistently entertaining. Season 7 never happened BTW.

Watched every episode of Hannibal. Fell in love with it and then fell asleep. Way too much soft dialog that repeatedly and endlessly dances around the same damned point.

Also, Hannibal must have his own army of super-cannibals to help him with the shit he pulls. He magically teleport around the VA-DC-Baltimore area carrying huge quantities of supplies and unconscious people without ever leaving the slightest trace of forensic evidence. Yeah, nobody noticed the guy transporting a fully grown death-tree and planting it in a parking lot.

There is a new show slated to start on ABC called "The Quest". It is billed as part reality show, part fantasy. A mix of The Amazing Race and Lord of the Rings with competitors set into a medieval setting.

Are you fucking kidding me?

Trying real hard to get into The Wire.

Have tried to watch the first two episodes and I have fallen asleep three times. Had to watch the first episode twice and did not make it past the first ten minutes of the second.

Just not grabbing my attention beyond the fact that it has a ton of Oz alumni in it.

Does it get better? I have seen you people raving about it.

The show is a deep dive I say give it about 4 or 5 episodes before bailing, its not a lot going on action wise at the beginning, its getting you to invest in the characters for the payoffs down the line.

You kind of have to be in this for the long haul because once you get to know the characters everything starts to pick up importance and I do mean anything, this is the rare show that's better the second time around because you realize how all the events lead up to there final conclusions.

Has anything interesting stood out for you yet?

Just finished the 2nd season of Orphan Black, it has some serious plot holes but the acting is top notch as the storyline is interesting.

Also only 22 episodes in 2 seasons so it does not take much to catch up.

Not really, like I said.

Honestly, not one person (myself included) would tell you season 1 is either the best or second best of the series. There's a lot of great stuff down the road. But season 1 is still great. I want to say I maybe had a similar attitude when I started it, but once the first assumed main character dies, it took off for me.

If nothing at all is interesting to you then maybe its just not your cup of tea, but from noticing shows you have liked in the past I think you will enjoy it once things start picking up.

When does that happen, I can't remember how many episodes in that was.

But yeah season one is much better on the rewatch.
