Keen insight on Lebron...he really was on no ones radar, but good old scout Simp knew it when he was in high school...you know, like everyone else knew he was going to be good.
What kind of retarded point are you trying to make?

All I said was I saw LeBron play when he was the same age or younger than Wiggins and that Wiggins is not him. If you were paying attention and not focused on making your snarky comments you'd have noticed I was responding to Tony's point that Wiggins isn't a finished product and he could develop the skills I'm saying he lacks.

Now let's see if you can follow this logic, since Tony is making the point that Wiggins could develop those skills, I made the point that I saw LeBron play at the same point in his career and he looked completely different to me than Wiggins does, therefore I'm concluding that Wiggins is not what LeBron is, nor will he become close to that.

I never even insinuated that I discovered LeBron or any other such nonsense, the only reason I saw his HS games on TV was because everybody knew what he was.

Is that clear enough for you?

It'll be a long time before we see another Lebron. However, there are going to be more than a couple perennial all-stars in this upcoming draft. I like Philly's chances.

I'm saying you are a fan, like everyone else, not some great talent evaluator.

As for the Bulls, I would prefer to get a top 5 or so pick over a 2nd round playoff exit but it became pretty clear about 6 weeks ago that that was not happening so I figure I might as well root for them. This team actually looks to be more impressive than last years team, and I think it's very possible that their performance so far has put them in a very strong position for Melo .
Bottom line is Thibodeau is one hell of a coach.

I like what I have seen from Wiggins...he has been playing excellent and shown some range of late. I like that he seems to be a willing defender as well.

I see, so as a fan I shouldn't give my opinion on how good a player is, makes sense. You can just admit that you don't like how confident I am in my opinions and call it a day.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't pay Melo up to the luxury tax, you can pay him up to the cap. Which is like what, 58 million next year?

I think you are about correct with the 45 million number, but that leaves 13 million you can spend on free agents, up to 58.

I was assuming you get Mirotic for about 5. That leaves 8 remaining. You can't give Melo a contract that takes you up to the tax threshold, that's only for re-signing your own.

Unless we are signing and trading for Melo, but then we've gotta send salary back and the only thing that takes us below the cap, again, is Taj (obviously I'm not dealing Rose or Noah).
I think we would actually have to trade for him and get his Bird rights in order to exceed the cap. Basically he would have to tell New York he's leaving and they can either trade him and get what they can or let him walk for nothing, in which case I'd imagine they'd take Boozer as an expiring, picks and maybe a guy like Snell.

I just don't think you were breaking down Lebron's HS games...maybe you were Simpstile.

All I said was that Wiggins looks absolutely nothing like LeBron and used the fact that I saw LeBron several times in HS as a reference for that opinion. It's very possible that Tony thought I was comparing Wiggins to LeBron after 3-5 years in the league, I saw LeBron in HS and I'm telling you Wiggins looks nothing like him right now at the same point in their career.

Lebron went off for 61 tonight on 22-33 shooting. 8 of 10 from three.

He's passed Durant for MVP, IMO.

How about that 3 he hit about 4 feet behind the 3 point line?

Ridiculous.

Lebron was a man-child. He looked like he was 30 in high school. I'm not comparing Wiggins to Lebron, but to be fair you were watching Lebron vs kids much smaller than him (some were 8 inches shorter and 50 lbs lighter, others were a foot shorter and 75 lbs lighter), while you're watching Wiggins against guys the same size and others bigger. Lebron was bigger than everyone he played against.

You've seen Wiggins' HS highlights. He was obviously more confident taking it to the whole against guys not as big as he was.

That's true although I'm mostly referring to the way they move, their coordination, agility and such. Wiggins just does not look as fluid of an athlete handling the ball, driving, being able to make passes off his drives, etc.

Again, I'm not comparing the two, but you could see that for Lebron in High School? His passing off drives? When he drove he either just overpowered kids or if he was triple teamed kicked it out to a teammate. Wiggins looks fluid enough in his HS clips, pretty good ball handling. Lebron just physically matured earlier than Wiggins will. I really think Self's system is holding him back a bit which might be better for the team. I expect Wiggins to turn it up a notch come tourney time. Lebron is a once every twenty year player and I don't expect Wiggins to be that, but a perennial All-Star is not out of the question though so I guess we agree.

Good night of basketball tonight.

Rockets-Heat

Warriors-Pacers

Clippers-Suns

Rockets took down the Heat. The Rockets are really rolling. I said a couple of weeks ago that I think it's a tie between them and the Clippers for 2nd best team in the West.

Also, you're welcome, Sixers fans. The OKC Thunder were happy to help you with your mission to tank. 33 point beatdown laid on the Sixers. Durant went for 42 in 3 quarters of play. Would have had close to 50 if he would have hit his FTs. Westbrook posted a triple-double in limited minutes.
