I still want criminals to be prosecuted, be prevented from committing their crimes, and to be responsible for their actions.

This lady broke the law by assaulting an officer with a deadly weapon. It gave him the legal right to respond with lethal force as his life was threatened. It is completely irrelevant if she meant to injure him, just like it’s completely irrelevant if a drunk driver strikes someone with their car. No one ever accuses the drunk driver of wanting to hurt or kill someone. But their irrational, reckless decision to operate their vehicle in a dangerous way makes them reap the consequences of their decisions.

See, you are idiotically misreading this situation as everyone saying “she got what she deserved for opposing ICE.” No, it has nothing to do with that. If she had opposed ICE in a way that wasn’t a felony she’d be alive today.
