After round one, sure I'm ok if it's a blinking light situation.

In round one, no we just can't keep doing this shit. Like if that's how you intend to build an Oline, then I think you're doing things wrong.

Exactly. Just make it work as is, and we basically have a good coach (Adams) to make it work. But if they can't make 3 first rounders, a third and a random guy work then we need a new coach.

Later in the draft, fine. In the first? Good God, stop it. It's keeping them from building the rest of the team properly.

People talk about resource management with the cap dollars. Can't spend too much at WR. Can't spend too much at DT. I don't really give a shit about cap dollars. The cap is too flexible to stress like that.

But first round picks? All going towards the Oline? In the NFL much of your roster is built by guys in the first 5 years of their career. To invest the majority of those resources into one position group is insane. You can't keep forcing Oline in the first.

And yes, we have targeted Olineman. I just think that is flat out the truth.

It's like people forget that Jimmy didn't believe in spending first rounders on the OL.

I'm not saying never do it, but there's a good reason he felt that way.

Really curious to see Mauigoa tomorrow against Texas AM, particularly against Howell.

I know people hate the idea of an OL I. The first, but I think Mauigoa might be Sewell-level as a prospect.

I'm also curious to see Bain as well.

If it makes you feel better I thought he was a bit underwhelming, relatively speaking.

He'd have to be the clear BPA for me to take him and I don't think he's there. If he dominates against OSU that'd be something to consider but right now I'm pretty sure I'd take someone like Styles over him.

The playoff is especially interesting for me this year because most of the guys I'm looking at with our higher 1st (presumably somewhere between 13-17) are playing in it and I'm not really sure how to place several of them yet.

Right now my mindset is basically that if Downs or Bailey are there, it's a no brainer, I'm curious to see how they look but I think my opinion on each of them is pretty much set.

The guy I thought was in that tier is Bain, who I thought was a bit underwhelming today despite impressive statistical production. The bigger concern is that I'm worried if his arm length truly is sub-31, which would be a massive outlier. I still think he has a high floor because he's a brick shithouse against the run, but if his arms are actually that short I question how much edge rush you'll get out of him at the NFL level.

He's still 100% in the conversation for me, but I'm not exactly sure how to place him yet and am glad I get to see him go against OSU. If his arms truly are sub-31 there's a 0% chance he goes top 5, and probably not even top 10.

After that I'm looking closely at Styles, Mauigoa and CJ Allen, and trying to figure out how to place them alongside guys like Love and Faulk.

At the moment I think Styles might be at the top of the list.

Sure, this guido DeGennaro might be a nice UDFA.
I can't even watch Oregon for talent in this game because the competition is such shit.

But yeah I agree, the playoffs are a great time to watch the top prospects play each other. Especially the way the transfer portal has shifted a lot of the talent to the big schools. If you're a talented small school guy, there is a good chance you're transferring and chasing the money at a big school.
