We have one of the best interior OL's in the league, a group that will probably be the best interior next year.

You'd hope the coaches could figure something out at OT between Guyton, Thomas, Cornelius and perhaps even another year of Steele, who has improved a bit.

On the offensive line I would say it’s an obvious choice that Guyton needs the most development.. but it’s hard to work on development when you’re oft injured ..

I'm ready for Guyton to come back and be the LT. I think Thomas could at least be in par with Steele.

Anyway, I do think the sky is the limit as these 3 interior guys develop together.

Improved from dogshit to almost normal. Still below average in pass protection, and that greatly affects the whole offense.

The draft is two firsts and a 4th to really affect the starting lineup, and if we sign Pickens it prolly means no real free agents of note... again.

CB, Edge, RB in the 4th means OT likely MUST be developed from within. It's a major gamble on a position group that's killing consistency on O.

Thomas showed promise at RT but was a turnstile at LT vs Hutchinson & co.

Guyton keeps making mistakes, and then there's the injuries. I don't know if I can ever trust him as he heads into his Landry year.

Yeah, definitely need new blood here, but have precious little opportunity to add it.

You're right that the draft will be limited in what we're able to do as far as improving the roster.

I'd love to see them at least pick at the margins for some free agents that can fill some holes. Particularly at LB where it's not an overly expensive position to begin with, but maybe a couple other spots too (a solid if unspectacular CB and safety would be nice).

On the offensive line the solution might be to move Smith to LT, move Guyton to RT, and plug in Bass or Hoffman at guard. I feel like that line would be pretty good.

In the first round of the draft I'd love to find a stud pass rusher. I think that would transform the defense more than any other move could.

With our other first I'd love to (God help me) find a CB.

Even though I love Styles and Allen the move might be to sign Quincy Williams in FA and then focus elsewhere in the draft.

We'll see, I think Jerry might be feeling the weight of time running out and may do a little something in FA. Nothing truly earth shattering, but signing someone like Williams for 8-10/year is something I could see.

I wouldn't forget about Cornelius at T. They liked him quite a bit, he just needed this redshirt year to get bigger and stronger.

Or, I could see using a second or something (after trade down which I hope happens) on a RT type, a guy who doesn't have the feet for LT. But no more first rounder there please. At some point you have to make three firsts and a good third work.

Hell you can keep two firsts and still get a second or third round pick. I think two firsts is awesome bit we need more than 2 players. Which is why free agency is kinnnd of important.

Right, just like when we got Guyton and the third to take Beebe.

It all depends on how things fall of course, but I think there's a good chance they do this. I think that's partially what Jerry had in mind when he said we could get three or four players from the Micah trade.

If Jerry wanted 2 players for one then just trade for Chuma. Thats the talent equivalent of 2 players right there.

OK. I've reached my Chuma jokes quota for the month. See you in January.

Flipped one first rounders into two starting Olineman. We need to do this for the defensive side this year.
