Agree, most will ignore it. I had a friend tell me that while he wished Trump wouldn't have said it, the left should learn to take it after the bad things said about Charlie Kirk.
Fair enough, but this is what Reiner said about Kirk's murder:
“It’s beyond belief what happened to him. That should never happen to anybody. I don’t care what your political beliefs are. That’s not acceptable. That’s not a solution to solving problems.”
“And I felt like what his wife [Erika] said at the service at the memorial they had was exactly right. “I’m Jewish but I believe in the teachings of Jesus and I believe in ‘do unto others’ and I believe in forgiveness and what she said to me was beautiful. She forgave his assassin. And I think that is admirable."
Right. Reiner didn't say anything bad about Kirk's murder. Just like Kirk didn't say anything bad about ANYBODY. But that didn't stop a whole contingent of people that cheered his death. Mocked his death.
And nobody should be celebrating Reiner's death, either. No matter his political views. No matter the dumb shit that came out of his mouth in regards to politics. He was a human being. Yet disgustingly, people will cheer his death because of his political beliefs. And that is just wrong. Hell, we've seen that idiocy already here on this board.
And Trump is not above reproach on this. It doesn't matter who he is. What he said is disgusting. While not openly cheering Reiner's death, he's still trying to use it politically. Which is reprehensible.
