They're the least self-aware demographic by far. They vote for the worst people and the worst policies ("welcome illegals and refugees!") and then wonder why they can't walk home in safety.

It's just not an attractive quality.

Being a Marxist/ communist should disqualify you from public office. It's anathema to American values.
Agreed, but then they'll just call it a "red scare," and "McCarthyism" again.

But it's true that socialism and Communism are, essentially, for lack of a better word, unconstitutional. Implementing any of their tenants violates many of the personal freedoms we are guaranteed as well as the limits explicitly placed on the federal government by the Articles and Amendments in the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

You can't swear allegiance to the country and the Constitution, to hold office, if you believe in those things.

It's like a Catholic supporting abortion rights. Nope. You're not Catholic if you do.

Maybe you're a good person. I have friends who are liberal and support abortion rights. I have friends who are conservative and support abortion rights. I might disagree with you, I might think I can win a debate against you, maybe I could change your mind or maybe not, maybe we'd have to reach a consensus that under a non-religious definition, science can only prove so much about when "life starts," because that's subjective and not objective.

But you can't be Catholic.

If you think it is just McDonalds, it ain’t.
I don't think its just McDonalds.

But I do think it's largely inflation.

I mean, I'm sure their profits are up. I'm less sure that their profit margins have increased, it might be the same profit margins just on higher volume.

But I'm also quite sure that their costs are up.

They have to contend with pressure to pay every employee $15-$20 an hour, which is far more than most of them deserve to sit around and scratch their asses, which is what 80% of them do. They have to contend with ridiculously rising rent and property costs as well as fast rising property taxes, most of which can be directly attributed to mismanagement of some kind or another during the last Presidential administration. And inflation has in fact his food prices.

People have to stop eating out, though. No one wants to admit it, but it is in fact easier and smarter, if you are struggling financially, to maybe have breakfast for dinner a few times a week, and the other times, you have to fucking suck it up and struggle though preparing a dinner.

I know what it's like, I'm in a house where both parents work and kids have activities. It's awful. Some nights I'm like "Ugh, I have to have chili AGAIN, I want to kill myself" - because it's really easy to brown a package of ground beef and dump in tomato sauce and a McCormick's seasoning pack.

It's an $8 meal for the whole family though.

Try going to McDonalds with two adults, a ten year old and an 8 year old. I dare you to spend less than $30 if not $40.

No, it's inflation.
I don't think it's just inflation. Some of it obviously is. But the truth of the matter is no one has to get McDonalds. So people must think it's worth the money.

Or is it because they put some form of Crack in their food? So addicts will pay whatever they charge... Also possible
