This nonsensical chatter around getting rid of Clark is classic Joe Fan stupid Cowboy media slop talk.
There's this almost pathological reaction by the idiots in the Cowboy ecosystem to immediately annoint an elite player by stripping down the depth around them so that the elite player ends up playing like 80% of the snaps.
It's insane and probably some sort of weird subconscious response to how Jerry pus way too much weight on highly paid stars, which ultimately ends up wearing them out (i.e. Ware).
It's expensive but a trio of Williams, Osa and Clark is kind of perfect stylistically, like the Lamb/Pickens pairing.
Williams is the elite, well rounded cornerstone. Osa is an undersized upfield penetrator. Clark is a stout 1T who can push the pocket with his strength.
Given the lack of talent elsewhere on defense you have to keep that together for at least a year rather than asking Williams to do fucking everything.
