Since there's no "TV Nostalgia thread"...

Watched Lonesome Dove for the first time. Remember that? Pretty good. Two things:

1. I never got why I'd hear older guys say Diane Lane was so good. Now I guess I get it.

2. Every time I saw Gus on screen I couldn't help thinking of The Wise Old Cowboy. :doh
That was the first time or a first time rewatch?

I rewatched it a couple of weeks ago. That was a big event for our family when it came out. I thought it has held up over the years pretty well.

Still kills me how he just refused to give Newt his name after all of that.

First time watch. I never really cared about westerns. I really only watched it because my mom was watching it one day when I was visiting her and saw that it was pretty good.

Diane Lane's mama, Colleen Farrington, was from my local area and was a Playboy Bunny in the old days.

Fucking YouTube TV had to drop ABC and ESPN because of a dispute over money. Anyone else here have YT TV?

Yep, same here

Every fucking year, dude, there’s some dispute that gets in the way of my access to football. They sent me the email a day after charging my card. I just got finished filing a dispute. If it doesn’t have ESPN, it’s fucking worthless to me.

They did say in the email they would refund customers $20 if it’s not resolved soon. Whoopdee fucking doo.

If there's a dispute I'd probably blame ABC/ESPN as opposed to YouTube. The stations are probably trying to raise their rates.

Yeah, I bet they're about to the point of not giving in, thinking they can force people to buy their stream directly.

So if a person has the disney/Espn+ bundle does it really matter? I don't even know anymore how many damn streaming services I have

The most logical theory that's floating around is ESPN/Disney is asking for a ridiculous increase in carriage rates that they know YTTV and others object to. This leads to channel blackouts and ESPN/Disney pushing for people to sign up for their new ESPN stand alone service or Hulu, which is also owned by Disney.
